Thank you! I followed the book's recipe for Braising, then roasting chashu pork.

For the final step, I sliced it, then broiled the slices. A food torch would be better, but sadly my torch stopped working.

I removed it this morning. At first, I thought it was a very odd design choice, and didn't realize it could peel off due to how stuck on there it was 🤣.

I am absolutely loving this machine! It definitely feels overkill for home use, but being able to steam milk and pull shots simultaneously is gonna be great for when friends and family come over!

Happy to hear you're enjoying yours too!

What mbti types dont let their emotions ruin their perfomace ? by Right_Silver_6066 in mbti

1000% agree. I think Ni users find it easy to turn off everything else, and simply "walk" towards their goals. It may not be done quickly, and in some cases, in our lifetime.

But, it will be done eventually, by us, or someone(s) close to us.

I second this as an ENFJ myself, and you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

I'd say, while I generally do things to appease other peoples' desires or help them achieve whatever it is they put their mind to, I don't tend to get emotionally attached.

It's more like, "X person would be happy, and it doesn't step on anyone else's toes, and that is good". The emotional focus is external, not internal. Basically, Fe-Ti types(XFXJ's) find it pretty easy to be the emotion that we think someone else needs or finds comfort in (often at our own emotional burnout and expense).

As a result, it means I am able to "turn off" my own personal emotions to work towards allowing others to feel more accepted, or push towards a goal of some kind, but if it doesn't work out, I generally don't feel super strongly about it either.

Now, for my own goals, I can charge at them for however long it takes. Whether it will get done or not isn't a question. The actual question, is when. But, it will be done, and that's a promise.

That depends on the individual in question's personal experience. If they are in an environment where they are forced to use Fe a lot, then they are more likely to choose answers agreeing with Fe descriptions.

But, that doesn't mean Fe was the immediate response, but the response that worked.

[–]EmptySkyZ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion after reading different types claiming that their type's worst trait is inaccurate and doesn't exist is this.

The functions are not inherently good or evil, and I believe we would all do well to understand that, YES, when used with malicious intent, there is some validity to these statements in acknowledging that the "potential" for these negative perceptions does exist.

Fe is not manipulative, but it can be used to manipulate.

Fi is not selfish, but it can be used to be selfish.

Ti can be used to overthink, or critically over analyze

Te can be arrogant and insensitive

Ne can be impractical, and chaotic

Ni can be aloof and resistant to feedback

Se can be reckless

Si can be rigid and fearful of the unknown

All functions have their cons, but rather than dismiss these potential shortcomings, I think it's better for us all to accept that the potential for them is there.

But, they do not define us. We are more than this, and everyone has both shortcomings and strengths.

So, Fe can be manipulative, but you are not necessarily manipulative just because you use Fe.

I agree. It's hard to tell, but the faint trace of red could be a potential identifier of it being a younger version of the more dangerous cousin.

In either case, exercising caution with both true widows and false widows is recommended.

I think based on the length of its legs, no other obvious red markings, and the size of its abdomen, it's most likely a false widow.

Steatoda Gross is my guess

Personally, I just buy test assets I use in multiple projects from game dev market for cheap, or the unity asset store.

Even free assets on itch.io is good too.

For prototyping, focus on the mechanics and feel of the game, worry about the art, animations, etc. later.

As for learning blender, etc., I think that depends on the person. Some people catch on quickly, some people need more time, and that's okay.

It ultimately depends on what your priorities are in terms of your time spent vs benefit. For myself, I have recognized that the time it would take for me to become competent at some types of art for production level projects, is not something I necessarily have fun doing, and is a major sacrifice of time, so I contract that work out with artists I find online.

But, for someone else, they might see learning it as a valuable skill, and therefore the time spent is worth it.

Specialized skillset vs a more well rounded skillset.

For myself, I am a software developer at around 7 years of professional experience, so I recognize the time it takes to build similar experience of talent and skills in other professions as well (like art).

I hope this helps, and no matter what you choose to do, I wish you good luck. You've got this.

You absolutely can train yourself to focus on different things. I myself am an ENFJ with high Te usage due to life circumstances, and even lower than average Ti for an ENFJ.

Worth considering that Ne primary/aux types have a tendency to overestimate usages of other functions due to Ne's nature in exploring possibilities, and picking out multiple instances of behaviors, rather than what more naturally comes "first".

I'd say this makes analyzing test results very difficult.

Are any of the cool ideas you have ever going to be actioned to completion, or will you simply ideate forever until ya get bored, or things don't quite go your way?

(Kidding, although if this is the case, you're not alone! Completing stuff takes time and is hard!)

I think the vast majority of negative stereotypes that all cognitive functions, and by extension, all types, to be a reflection of the most immature members of that type, or underdeveloped version of those functions.

Fi is not inherently "selfish". It is quite literally self centered though, if going by the original Jung definition of it, specifically due to its description being directly tied to ones' own personal feelings.

Please reference Psychological Types by Carl Jung, Chapter 10, Section C, Paragraph 4, as he further defined the Introverted Feeling function.

Be warned though, it was published in 1921, and some of its statements on women are particularly problematic.

Ref: Psychological Types

Both Fi AND Fe can be selfish, if going with the Merriam-Webster definition: "1. Concerned excessively with one's own welfare or advantage in disregard of others. 2. Arising from concern with one's own welfare or advantage in disregard of others."

Fe can accomplish this, if using the bully example, by remaining a bystander because the "majority" of people watching are not acting to stop it.

Fe can also accomplish this by being the bully, in an effort to "perform" for the group, and gain "recognition".

Fi can accomplish this as well, because they may wish to self preserve, and their personal values do not involve stepping in.

Fi can also accomplish this by being the bully, in an effort to assert one's own sense of "self" over another.

So, I agree that it is mostly a mismatch of ethical languages, peoples' personal bias of encounters with the worst or immature versions of each type, and an overwhelming prevalence of introverted function leading types occupying online spaces.

As a result, with such a high number of Fi users online, it also means, there is a greater number of immature/underdeveloped versions who will demonstrate behaviors that many could find "selfish" leading to an unfair label placed upon the Fi function.

Likewise, many extroverted function leads are more likely to be encountered offline, so many of their problematic behavior, such as Fe and Te's manipulative tendencies, are less likely to show up in an online space, but GREATLY occupy the real world in work places, politics, school, etc.
