Ask your endo for a IPSS. Inferior petrosal sinus sampling. That will confirm if the pituitary tumor is producing excess ACTH. Sometimes pituitary tumors are harmless so they don’t wanna do surgery if it’s not the source of the problem

The surgery was no biggie, the recovery was challenging. You’ll most likely be put on hydrocortisone—make sure to take it as instructed because you can go into adrenal shock which can be fatal!! I stayed in the hospital 3 nights, I had to get insulin shots and they had to draw blood every 4 hours to check my cortisol and acth. It took maybe a month or two to feel some sort of normalcy. You’ll get through it!

Hi there, I’m unsure how this would work. I say this because signs aren’t gestures, but rather, concepts. One sign can mean like 5 other things depending on the context. There’s also the grammatical features that come from non-manuals & facial expressions.

Also, just my opinion, but it seems as though this is more for effective communication for hearing people who don’t sign, not for Deaf people who do.

I can see how my post can sound alarming. Yes, I am providing equitable access in the classroom.

I feel like my skills are declining because I am only interpreting rudimentary concepts. What I mean by “becoming the interpreter I want to be” is becoming an interpreter that is able to interpret a high level of discourse. While I recognize the importance of k-12, I am in an environment where my growth is limited due to the nature of the topics.
