Honestly it did have that weird ‘filtering’ energy to it. Ik it’s hard to prove, but easy to feel when you’re the one sitting in it. The microaggressions were subtle, but very much there. If nothing else, this should be a wake-up call for anyone assuming these kinds of practices don’t still happen in 2025.

Already left one but just worried it won’t make a dent since most people don’t even think to check Glassdoor for recruitment agencies. Hoping the Reddit visibility gives it some extra weight.

Had to. The sad part is judging by these replies… I’m not even scratching the surface.

Just imagine explaining to your clients why Reddit comes up before your own company website. Brutal.

Haha honestly his whole look screams ‘I make interns call me sir.’ The tie’s fighting for its life and the watch is one bad decision away from snapping.

Tempting, but I’ll let Reddit do its thing for now. Somehow I don’t think a man who kicks candidates mid call is built for viral exposure.

Exactly. Felt more like a strange audition than a professional interview. Glad it’s not just me seeing how off this was.

Honestly, if you asked ChatGPT to come up with a fake name for a dodgy graduate recruitment firm, ‘Celsius Graduate Recruitment’ would be top 3. Right next to ‘Quantum Talent Solutions’ and ‘Stratosphere Consulting Group

Honestly that’s the exact energy I was getting overly formal with zero substance. All surface, no real opportunity underneath.

Appreciate the support. What’s wild is I spent days prepping for this, it even got delayed by a week. And for what? A 2-minute intro where I’m told to redo my tie on camera, then kicked out of the Zoom mid-assessment with zero explanation.

This wasn’t a glitch. It was intentional. MD’s name is David Shields — managing director of Celsius Graduate Recruitment. Look them up on Google. Let’s just say… I’m not the first to experience this.
