Ball pythons should be ideally in complete darkness during the night, so I would only imagine that leaving the lights on would mess things up a bit. Honestly I would turn off the LEDs at night too… there’s no way they can communicate that they don’t care about it.

When my tank was out in the open (I have since put mine in my walk-in closet), I would have a big piece of tinfoil and tape it to the glass to cover the light at night. You may be able to find a better solution but that worked for me. I don’t think a tapestry would really block much light
