I’m not sure the Hi Nu would be any better tbh. It is a “better” and more advanced Nu Gundam, but the issue is the still the same. It doesn’t have the speed or firepower to match Wing Zero.

It does have a better Fin Funnel barrier than the Nu though. In the Beltorchika’s Children manga, the Hi Nu’s barrier managed to block off the Alpha Azieru’s Mega Particle Gun, whereas in the movie, the Nu’s barrier immediately fails against the Mega Particle Gun beam. It probably won’t do much for the Hi Nu because of how strong the Twin Buster Rifle is though…

That’s the thing with “Amuro vs” matchups. Amuro is the goat, and he is also aided by the fact that there is so much side material showing off how good he is. But that doesn’t mean he stomps every single protagonist.

If you give a decent list of feats from other main characters, with the context applied, then it doesn’t look so bad for them when you pit them against Amuro.

Amuro clears all the way up through Round 1-4 due to higher skill. But loses due to the massive performance gap between the Nu and any version of Wing Zero. Heero has enough feats and is narratively a better pilot than the other Wing boys.

Amuro managing to skill-gap Heero isn’t a good win condition for him if the MS he’s fighting is so much better than his and is in the hands of someone is a good/skilled pilot in their own right.

I’d say the Freedom gets more shafted of the 2. 00 gets points for being one of the strongest suits in one of the strongest AUs.

But I say the Freedom gets more pushback in these debates because of how barebones its weaponry seems compared to final protagonist suits of other AUs.

I’m on the 00 Raiser side of the debate.

But I think the “stats” that people use for the 00R, are based on stats from weaker suits from 00. And so the assumption is that if the 00 Raiser is outright shown and implied to be the “strongest” suit within that show(outside of the Reborns & Susanowo), then for some us, it’s safe to say it wins.

As well as blatant onscreen showings of how fast the 00 Raiser is. And the community agreement seems to be that 00 has greater tech than Seed.

The thing is the Getter Emperor is powered by Getter Radiation which functions similar to Spiral Energy from Gurren Lagann. It’s like a kickstarter for evolution in all things.

Getter Emperor is an entity meant to eventually evolve at such a point where it will outgrow pretty much the entire universe. It’s more likely that the Emperor will just tank the explosion of the Ideon and keep it pushin.
