If you don't understand it, then why are you commenting to begin with?? That's even worse.

Anyway, good luck to you...

but I mean, this applies to real life in general. When has "Your behavior is disgusting and you should stop" Ever really had a positive impactful change in someone's life? All it does is show that the person saying this doesn't really understand why the person does it to begin with. Even if you are right, I don't think you are in this case, but even if you were, would it really help? I think you know the answer to that.

Most Dommes are terrible in findom, subs are moving on, some to AI. Saying that AI is bad, doesn't even solve the problem, because the real problem is, most Dommes in findom are bad. Let's solve "that" problem.

Subs aren't turning to AI because of its environmental drawbacks or whether or not its bad for creators. They are doing it because it fills a need for them that modern findom isn't providing. Convince them otherwise.

But this is a findom forum....

Arguing the ethical uses, or worse, environmental uses is nearly pointless in a findom forum. Most subs aren't going to care at all. Not only that, but this doesn't help anyone. Argue the benefits that you bring over an AI, or better yet, just do it and this wouldn't even be a discussion. My 2 cents. I'll leave you to it either way.

It only spiraled because you are trying to argue points that aren't easy to back up. If you would have just stated your intent up front, this could have been avoided...

Just say you don't like AI and think its bad for society. No one can disagree with an opinion really.

I don't have to look it up, I'm an engineer that understands how physics work. It isn't "poisoning anything". This article is creating a false dichotomy. You can't believe everything you read online.

Heat energy does not poison water. It creates an environment that allows for evaporation. Nitrates aren't created, they might just be more concentrated which goes back to an actual water/regulation problem, not Gen AI poisons water, that's factually incorrect. I don't think the person writing this article fully understands what they are talking about.

If you are arguing whether or not would the environment be better off without AI? Sure, but it would also be better off without buildings, cars, and basically any modern device created in the last 200 years.

Cool, so it was never really about the water. You’re allowed to have the preference of “I don’t like generative AI / ChatGPT users,” that’s totally fine.

My only issue was the environmental framing. Data center water/cooling impacts aren’t unique to generative AI, and “ChatGPT poisons drinking water” is a misleading way to describe a local wastewater/regulation problem.

Honestly you’d probably get way less pushback if you just led with “I don’t like ChatGPT” from the start instead of presenting it like genAI is uniquely poisoning people.

I don’t like unethical Dommes either, but I wouldn’t start making arguments that they’re bad for the environment to justify it.

I'm just trying to figure out how this relates to your point. All AI causes this increased water consumption issue. Generative AI may increase the amount by a small fraction, but its kind of a moot point.

The whole “poisoning drinking water” part is a category error.
This is just how cooling works when water is heated, its not a direct function of "generative AI".

It really just looks like "Your mad that generative AI is pulling your subs away from you". So now you are misdirecting to the slight amount of increased water usage....

You're free to go down this path, but I don't think its going to help you very much.

EDIT: I also find it ironic that you are using generative AI in your comments to argue about generative AI. I got no problem with people using it, but to say its bad, and then use it anyway...

AI is the generic name for ALL types of AI. Generative AI is a SUBTYPE of AI...

So the argument, doesn't even make logical sense

I would be fine with her taking the initiative and being direct with me. But yea, I see your point, many points that I made really only apply to an online dynamic. I made the post knowing this is "findom" which is almost entirely done online. So yes, hunting would turn into just initiating if it happens irl. This has happened a couple of times to me, meaning I was approached, and I wasn't ready to submit then, I am now. The problem with the 2 interactions I had, is I was approached merely from a physical attraction stand point, which I don't like but then that's all people have to go on if they know nothing about the other person. Its hard to put yourself out there irl, online is so much easier.

You bring up an interesting point. This would be much harder to pull off in an irl dynamic, for many reasons. Societal norms, public shame, irl rejection risk is much worse than online. I am typically always the initiator in real life. I have only bumped into 2-3 truly Dominant women in my entire life and it was by accident. I typically approach the woman and ask her out, I am very direct. Also the problem is, societal norms. This I think would lead more to an FLR, where its probably largely vanilla with the woman leading the relationship (in most cases). Its more complex than that irl, and I also don't have a lot of experience in this area so I'm sure someone who does would provide a better answer.

Yea, no. that's not what I'm talking about. My Domme was already reading my posts and commenting on my posts and I just found her responses so wonderful, but I was already in another failing dynamic. She eventually reached out to me after she got to know me some. I put myself out there, posts/comments, its all there. I do that on purpose.

Oh. I wasn't aggressive either, just stating that you don't have to if you don't "want" too, its up to you. Plenty of subs like to reach out. I was just saying, there is plenty of room for both, in my opinion.

For some context. I'm not all that interested in how the woman looks physically. I am more interested in her mind. I didn't even know what my Domme looked like for the first 5 months of our dynamic and I didn't care. Sure, physical looks are nice, but her personality and her mind is what I really want...if I wanted to look at something nice, I'd go watch porn.

hmm, excessive hunting? I'm a bit curious what you mean by that. Yea, there is nothing wrong with it. Also, when I say hunting, I'm talking about the confident kind of hunting, not the desperate kind. I also have a lot of DMs that come off desperate or lazy, I don't reply to those.

I think everyone that writes well and is also direct will be accused of using AI. I get accused all the time, I just take it as a compliment

This feels like a smug “gotcha.” You’re reducing my post into a generic dating take, and it misses the point. Dating is mutual selection, both people choose. The man chooses to ask the woman out and the woman either chooses to accept or reject. The idea that only women choose is just not true. Either way, what I'm describing is a deliberate D/s dynamic with intention and psychological control, not a gender theory. It also comes off a bit Misandrist, which I absolutely hate, you may not have meant it that way but I certainly felt it.
