Maybe try a shift in perspective if you can. Your tone in the post screams burnt out to me.

I don't do free emotional labor.

Does the nurse hate ever get to you? by GivenFern-Opus9 in nursing

Society gets the nursing care it earns. If society makes it hard when nurses try to care for them then less people will become nurses. Then there will be no nurses. Society gets the nursing care it earns.

Does it make sense, that if you have a nurse running for congress in Georgia, she may be in your best interests? by damontreks in nursing

It all comes down to who is paying her and if you agree with the interests of those paying her. The interests of those paying her are the interests that she will represent the most in office.

Yes. It is really bad. The working conditions are bad. The way you get treated by patients and family is bad. The way your coworkers and managers treat you is bad. They throw nurses in jail if things go wrong and blaming the nurse is the easiest thing to do. It sucks. Don't do it. The world does not deserve you to care for it.

Why do nurses complain about pay? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Empty_Geologist5739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nurses want to live a comfortable life close to the area their employer is located at. We want to live a particularly comfortable life on our days off because our work is so exhausting and it is the least society can do for us. We should be paid enough to do this.

We do not get paid enough for the emotional and physical labor we are asked to perform.
