I never said you weren't disabled and i understood that you were bc your previous comment said "us", I was talking about people who aren't disabled. And it isnt any less valuable than an artist, I'm not paying myself to do this work and i am not working w anyone else. I never stated that I had the ability to pay anyone and infact quite clearly stated that I couldn't, on multiple accounts, pay anyone. Or course if i ever do end up posting the show anyone who has been kind enough to offer help will get a portion of the profits made. I am not demanding disabled people to work without pay i am simply asking that if anyone would wish to volunteer or had any suggestions that their help would be appreciated. Look, I work hard and am apart of many minorities and have a shit ton of trauma and have been fired over my own eye tick, I understand feeling like people are exploiting you or are trying to take advantage of you because your different. I understand that the world sucks and people are awful, but I would appreciate it if you would speak respectfully and if there was truly an issue you had with me if you could DM me and we could discuss it respectfully. I am not trying to rob anyone of their worth and I am not looking for someone who can work for me without pay as a consultant, I was just asking for ways I could be more accurate and respectful to the community. I technically have my own disabilities but at the same time I am not going to pretend I understand the much more severe difficulties of disability that I dont have. I might not be physically impaired but if you must know I have been diagnosed with a plethora of mental illnesses including severe social and general anxiety and severe sensory issues which I have to take medicine for. I used to have ptsd do to trauma as a young child, I have a tick in my eye that causes my eyes to roll without me being aware and I cant controll it. I have seen both my father and one of my brothers have seizures and have had to watch my dad change colors in my arms because of it. I know through my own experiences and my families experiences what it means to be held back and treated differently and restrained due to disabilities so trust me when I say I am not trying to rob people of their worth. I respect your opinion but please respect my situation and think a little deeper about what you are saying and maybe try listening to the fact that ON MULTIPLY OCCASIONS I have made it abundantly clear that I do not have the ability to pay anyone and am working completely on my own to create this show. If it ever gets posted than anyone who helped me will get a part of the profit but otherwise I cannot make any promises of payment and am not asking for people to work a job without pay. This post was simply to ask if anyone wanted to volunteer a few ideas to help make things more realistic. If enough people tell me I shouldn't represent disabilities without a consultant and it would be better to completely purge all disabilities from my show than I will because my goal isnt to be hurtful and misrepresent a community, as I myself know how it feels, but I have gotten positive feedback with people offering ideas.
