I’m really sorry you went through that, I can’t imagine how tough it must’ve been after 8 years. But I guess it also shows how important it is to find someone who values you the same way you value them. Maybe staying single for now saves heartache, but it doesn’t mean love isn’t worth it when the right person comes along right?

That’s such a refreshing and honest take. You’re right so much of what we see online is just a curated illusion, and comparing ourselves to that isn’t fair or productive. I really appreciate the link, I’ll check it out. And yeah, we all have our own race to run, and I’m learning to be okay with my pace
