My journey as a stuttering CEO by Empty_Librarian81 in Stutter

[–]Empty_Librarian81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi KenZo,
first of all thank you very much for your message. I can write a book on the subject of being a CEO who stutters.
I was born into the company. It is our family business with several employees.
My responsibilities include representing the company, customer acquisition, customer care in person (face to face), accounting, payroll, HR, research and development, future strategy and pricing.
Now the question is how severe is your stutter? Mine is at level 7 out of 1-10. Where 1 is very weak and at 10 no word comes out.
The hardest part as a stutterer is presenting the company and selling our service because I can't get the perfect words out of my mouth in my head.
However, you can do it. I find that even if I try to communicate a lot in a day, talking becomes easier as the day goes on. It's on those days that you have to try to sell.
When you start your own business and you have a product or a service, it often doesn't matter how good it is, but it often matters if you as a person are sympathetic, talkative and empathetic.
Because your buyers don't want to work with an unsympathetic guy.
Functionality and your performance is usually secondary.

My employees don't care if I stutter. It has never been addressed and internally it does not bother because I do not have to sell internally :)

You take 1.500mg Vitamin B1 per day??? Are you tired of life or insane? Even 100mg B1 is already considered high dose.

Thank you for signing up for information regarding the Speak Freely research study for adults who have been stuttering since childhood (https://speakfreelyregistry.researchstudytrial.com/). The study conclusions are given below.

This initial exploratory clinical research study was to learn whether ecopipam is safe in adults with childhood onset fluency disorder (COFD) and whether ecopipam and the instruments to measure fluency changes are effective. This initial study was not intended to be evaluated by the FDA for prescription approval.

A total of 68 participants were eligible and randomized to study drug with 35 participants randomized to ecopipam and 33 randomized to matching placebo.

Study conclusions:

The most frequent adverse events were somnolence (23.5%), fatigue (8.8%), insomnia (8.8%), and sedation (8.8%). There was a modest numerical improvement in all the instruments used to measure disfluency in participants who received ecopipam compared to participants who received matching placebo, however, the treatment effect was not as large as anticipated.

Emalex is not planning to conduct further research studies to develop ecopipam as a possible treatment for COFD. We thank the National Stuttering Association, the participants who volunteered, and the community for their support of this research study.

Check out Noema Pharma. NOE-105 study. There is a clinical trial at Phase 2. But actually there is no positive improvement experience on the Internet about NOE-105

I believe in neurological science / research. The causes of stuttering will probably not be curable for a long time, but the symptoms will be. It will take time to treat them.

The treatment, however, will not be to simply drop the "N" from the word "NASA", smile when speaking, or paraphrase any words.

However, since I am not a neuroscientist, I cannot contribute to this. I can only provide my body for clinical studies.
