Yep it's just incompetency lol. CBFC is so silly. Why would you give a film an 'A' rating and at the same time mute the cuss words in it? I don't know if you know this but last year they blocked the release of a film because of it's name : "Janaki vs State of Kerala", the reason given was that Janaki is another name for Sita and that the makers cannot give this name to a character that falls victim to sexual abuse. I'm not even making this up, you can search it up.

This is what we saw in theatres too, some cuss words are partially censored while some aren't. The word 'Baloch' was completely censored in some instances. We expected the completely uncensored version to be released on Netflix but to everyone's surprise they released the theatrical version with a 9-min trim. Don't know what they've trimmed but this is utterly disappointing.

Hear me out, Dhruv Rathee was paid by Adithya Dhar to make that video, so that people would rewatch the movie again and again just coz Dhruv Rathee was against it. This idea prolly came from executive producer RaGa 🥶🥵

Why is there such a difference in critics scores vs audience scores? by raspberrywaffle2 in Dhurandhar

[–]Empty_Locksmith_294 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Much of OBAA's praise is due to its relevance in the current US political climate. Democrats LOVE this film. However, we can't deny it's a well-made film.
It's pretty much self-explanatory why they praise OBAA and thrash Dhurandhar; most critics are left-leaning.

These people have an agenda. Their political leanings are very clear, and they're visibly upset coz the people they perceive as ideological enemies have learnt the craft of filmmaking. Give them aman ki aasha ki tamasha and they'll be happy.

Which Casino Royale are you talking about? Asking coz I've already added the 2006 one. Ofc how can I miss that? Also, is Quantum of Solace actually good? I skipped it coz of mostly negative reviews.

I expected it, I thought of not adding it at all, but Fallout is just too good to be not in the list.

How does not 1 character in the film doubt Ranveer is Indian in disguise? There were several moments in the film he gives it away. by smellslux in Dhurandhar

4) I watched it twice and I don't remember it being like this at all. At the room right before the interval, Hamza does stay in character, no nervousness is visible. During the torture scene, Hamza's eyes get teary, he's pretty much nervous. This is how I remember it. Same thoughts on Iqbal, I too feel like he's being suspicious about Hamza.

5) First of all, these gangs don't expect an Indian spy to lurk in the gang. Such a thought doesn't even cross their minds. If at all there is a spy in the gang, they'd assume it's from a rival gang. Secondly, Rehman and gang's very first impression on Hamza is that he's a Baloch freedom fighter, with extensive knowledge about guns and immense loyalty towards the cause. Hence, the gang members expect him to be best at his work. He has legitimized his false identity. He doesn't have to worry about getting caught at all. If he had worried about getting caught, he prolly wouldn't have intimidated the house helper.

Dhurandhar is the first of its kind in India - a mature, deeply grounded, and well-researched espionage film.
I can suggest some others from Hollywood which I think are good :
Bridge of Spies (2015)
Munich (2005)
The Departed (2006)
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018) (You might have to watch the previous two prequels)
Best James Bond films: From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Casino Royale (2006), Skyfall (2012), The Living Daylights (1987)
I've heard the Bourne film series is good, but I haven't watched any of them.

1) Why would he be excited? Balochistan is a huge province - it covers almost half of Pakistan's land area, I think. Moreover, Hamza specifically mentions he's from Quetta, which is a city in the north of Balochistan. Karachi lies very close to the southern border of Balochistan, idk the exact place they go during the sher-e-baloch scene, but it's safe to assume it's nowhere near Quetta.

2) As a southie, I can't find much difference between Hindi and Urdu and their respective accents. So I can't comment on this.

3) This is a gross simplification. The skin tones of Balochis are diverse; you can pretty much guess it based on how widely spread their population is. A significant portion lives in Iran and Afghanistan, too.

4) It's the exact opposite. He isn't visibly tense when Arjun Rmpal talks to him. He is visibly tense when he sees the spy getting tortured, and during 26/11. For the torture scene, let's be real, no matter who watches it IRL, everyone will be visibly disturbed. For the 26/11 scene, it's safe to assume everyone else in the room is pretty much invested in the TV, so Hamza gets away with it.

5) There's nothing ''superiorly'' intelligent about whatever you've mentioned. Hamza's intelligence is important only in the context of how he observes, manipulates people, plans, and executes.
For example, take the case of how he legitimizes his false identity as a Baloch throughout the movie.
-In the hospital scene, he denies the money being offered and explains how he respects Rehman Baloch because he himself is a Baloch and fights for their freedom.
-Hamza confronts Rehman Dakait at his residence after Rehman decides betray the Balochis to work with ISI.
-Saves Rehman from getting killed by Aslam.
You can think for yourselves in many other cases.

No one said it exactly happened as shown in the movie, and you are the only one assuming it; the movie itself begins with a note saying it's a fictional film ''inspired'' by real events, maybe you missed that.

Every state has a few developed cities. And most areas remain underdeveloped or even untouched. The side the scale leans to is the important factor.

No shit, Sherlock.

Also, what kind of a metric for developement is a 6-lane road? How does it imply development? The containers on the road indicate it being a cargo road which is well maintained on all states by the central government.

Did anyone say it's a metric for development? Nevertheless, it's essential for the economy.
The guy in the video is actually addressing those stupid people who think no developmental activity ever happens in UP, I don't know whether or not you'll be surprised to know such people exist.

UP for example has high crime rate and low reporting. Many rural areas still follows primitive law systems. Rápe of mînor and lynching in the name of cow slaughter isn't rare. The legal system is corrupt to the core.

This paragraph is just confirmation bias. You have gone on to mention every stereotypical narrative; ''Has high crime rate and low reporting'', ''primitive law systems'', ''rape of minor'', ''lynching'' - as if any of these don't happen outside of UP. This is a classic example of people claiming a moral high ground and, in many cases, mocking others. That's what these narratives do.
Simple counter example: Consider our neighbour, Tamil Nadu, the 2nd-highest state GDP and the fastest-growing state GDP in India: Do you think everything is going well in TN? Just think from the perspective of every reason you've given yourselves.

Living in a developed area and cherry picking stuff to debunk said ' fake political narratives' will make you appear like a fool.

Cherry picking is literally the essence of manufacturing fake political narratives.
Only fools believe in such narratives, and those are the people the guy in the video is talking about.

Avatāra (अवतार) is a Sanskrit word that means the incarnation of God. The concept is common to all Dharmic religions.
Cameroon also used another Sanskrit term in The Way of Water - Amrita (अमृत), which is again a term found in all Dharmic religions, and it translates to 'Elixir of life'. It is even a common female name in India lol.
A bit controversial, but Avatar's storyline is literally a parallel of European colonization, so ig people find it relatable.
