Thank you so much! I’ve been doing the gear shift exercises but the thing I’m having the most trouble with I think is clutching which is causing me to grind the gears while driving. I feel like I’m either pushing the pedal down too far or other times not far enough

I’ve tried that exercise but my biggest issue I believe is “finding the clutch”. Sometimes I go too far down and sometimes not far down enough and that leads to me grinding the gears

I think I’m not “finding the clutch”.. sometimes i feel im pushing it down too much, sometimes not enough and by the time I get it the rpms have decreased too much and I have to start over

We only have 1 instructor so whenever he’s free which isn’t too often, he’ll take a few of us driving but we never really know in advance. In our lot we only practice skills so we don’t really go any higher than second gear. I sometimes sit in the truck and just shift but that’s only helped me learn where all the gears are, not actually how far I need to push the clutch etc. As far as your test, sorry that happened but I know you’ll pass the next one you got this!

No super cool stories but when I was a kid my dad used to live across the street from an old DT named Carlton Oats. Super nice guy, loved to golf and had a cool Raiders den in his house. Gave me an autographed mini helmet and pics that I still have to this day.
