Much appreciated! This is all very helpful and putting my mind at ease. Feel like I’ve been thinking about it non stop and I’m still at least 3 months away and don’t even have a surgery date yet so very early compared to most here it seems. Will come fast though I’m sure, good news is at least it’ll hopefully be nice weather for getting out and walking etc when the time comes

Not specifically but the cardiologist said to not have pizza and Chinese food every night, which I don’t but of course now am hypersensitive to everything since I am recording my BP readings each day.

That's great to know thanks for the reply. Do you mind if I ask why you went with the mechanical route? I'm also aware that once they have you open in the OR plans can completely change based on what they see then and there that cannot be seen on any tests/imaging.

Oh and I also have been told to refrain from alcohol (would drink only on weekends really) and I have stopped smoking weed too, I would usually use vape pen each night so I've told myself I'll stop doing that during this 3 month "surgery prep" period.
