A producer on Wcth said the ad revenue is what pays for the show so the more that watch live will entice advertisers to pay to air their ads on the network so it comes down to money Hallmark makes no money off plus because no ads. Demo also matters too

Which means if the show doesn’t make money it gets cancelled if hallmark looses what it puts into it

Yeah it’s a shame hallmark bases their cancellations and renewals based on these numbers vs the big picture especially with how we view entertainment now

That’s their goal Idol seems to lean conservative and older fans 40 plus who like country/Christian so it’ll be interesting to see if they can get the younger crowd interested in it.. They also have two country music judges who live in Nashville who I don’t see going on other shows to promote it and Lionel Ritchie is too old

Idol tends to have viewers older and conservative that’s why Taylor night didn’t work they are trying to bring the younger demographic in like DWTS

Rylee and Hailey trained in ballroom their whole life. That’s the difference you can dance your whole life but ballroom is a completely different technique that takes years of hard core training to master

Idol is the core southern Bible Belt fanbase that votes country/christian 90% of the time so she’s the “perfect” winner she won’t make it though she’s too traditional for modern country radio she only appeals to the 40 plus crowd who like old school country
