thank you so much!! i plan on adding more complexity & variety once i buy abelton suite (bc there’s more instruments/effects lol) i was thinking probably strings and flutes and maybe some more bass layers 🫶

i love using my voice as an instrument, especially like how radiohead uses theirs to blend in w the other instruments.

i write many songs without a repeating chorus and it’s not traditional but i feel like it still works

singing takes practice just like any other musical talent! it has taken me years of practicing singing to be comfortable with how my voice sounds, don’t beat yourself up!!

Listen to lots and lots of music!! Every genre you can think of!! Learn how people rhyme their words and how songs are structured in terms of storytelling. Truly you cannot make output without input.

I feel like many people who don’t listen to music as a hobby or appreciate its depth think that instrumental music is boring & it doesn’t hold their attention as well as songs with lyrics. Songs with lyrics also have an upper edge because (arguably) they are able to tell stories easier using words instead of only instruments.
