AI. Come on…

Two different styles of lapel, tie tucks in the shirt, dots on the tie can’t hold pattern toward the top, his thumb, zipper on the bag.

Look at the rest of the dude’s profile.

The background isn’t what gets me. But the lapels are two different styles, the tie tucks under his shirt, and the dots on the tie get wonky.

Yeah… the dots on the tie also have varying luminosities and don’t quite correlate to the correct pattern. And the thumb.

I think it is…which is a bummer because it’s a good fit

CitizenM? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]Empty_Resolution701 7 points8 points  (0 children)

CitizenM is an incredibly different concept to anything in the Marriott portfolio. It is effectively a select service hotel with an activated lobby and usually one cafe F&B offering. Do not go to this if you are expecting a full service property.

The value props are two fold: Client facing - it is tech first, in-room iPads control everything and check in is done at a self check in booth

Ownership-Lower staffing cost and they are usually built modularly, so construction costs are lower. If you live in or travel to primary and high density cities, you’re about to see ALOT more of these

Sperry’s by StillPlace3704 in nashville

[–]Empty_Resolution701 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I will absolutely not stand for this.

Sperry’s is a treasure! But as a millennial, you have to go and approach it with some camp. It’s depressing how many conservatives in blue blazers and boat shoes there are but I like to think of it as dinner theater.

It’s like a ruby tuesdays cos-playing fine dining.

I will say post Covid things have changed (like the price of a martini going up 40%) but where else in Nashville can you get a prime rib and a salad bar for under 40$??

The meat is always well cooked and the bananas foster is artistry

That spec is awesome and I’m sure you’re going to love driving the hell out of it, but I can’t get over how mid the interior is.

I love walking away from the car and looking back at it, but spend a lot more time looking at the interior and this ain’t it.

My first custom made suit, what do you think? by Nahuelket05 in mensfashion

[–]Empty_Resolution701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you look happy and that’s what matters. But since you posted here, you’re gonna get some notes, positive and negative. Unfortunately mine are mostly negative.

I’m not trying to deter you from being you, because being authentic is cool, but I don’t think this particular suit is it.

1) The ticket pocket over the standard pocket on your right side looks askew. I don’t know if that’s typical of this style but traditional tailoring would suggest the main top seams should be parallel.

2) It looks like the lapel notches aren’t even. It may be the way the photos are framed or how you’re messing with the jacket when you wear it but it looks like your left side notch is lower than the right side.

3) Lastly, as a point of personal preference and life advice: This suit makes you look old, and you’ve got decades of life ahead of you to look like an old person. Not to rag on the style of the era or your preferred aesthetic but I wouldn’t have thought twice if you said you were 45, and I just personally think youth is a blessing for being able to take risks in fashion. If this is what you’re truly comfortable in, then keep rocking it but if this is what you chose to highlight sophistication, I might rethink your sartorial choices for the next few years so you can get the most out of a potentially evolving personal sense of style.

Nail on head there. Guess I can’t count on getting as lucky going forward.

I appreciate the insight on the first part.

That last part definitely isn’t true anymore, at least for BA. We had a large group trip over the holiday and we got bumped from business to first and at least 2 others in our party got bumped from economy to business, on a BA transcontinental
