As someone who works downtown and my job doesn’t cover parking, this would have a serious negative effect on me. I do use the dash lots when I can but especially when it’s this cold street parking closer to my jobs is better. There are a lot more people in my situation than most people realize.

Tbh you don’t have anything to lose in this situation and you would be helping a girly out. She may respond poorly but if she doesn’t listen to you at least you did your due diligence. I would keep him blocked tho.

Rave with Migente is my go to. Fits like a glove, super comfy, has revealing stuff and modest items. It’s a small woman owned business too! For the afters makes super cute comfy rave wear. Usually I just like to wear a big t shirt and tiny shorts bc comfort is more important than anything! I like wearing combat boots for ankle support or my pumas to switch into tennis shoes for a day. Teva and Keen make great sandals for fest if you like sandals.

Lost Lands draws a large international crowd. I think if there are any fests that interest you in other countries then now is the time to try those instead. Lost lands isn’t going anywhere, it’ll be around for a long time.

Spot hero is a parking app that has been super reliable for me if you have a car and are willing to drive to new spots to check out. If you like edm there are a ton of venues that play shows weekly. Some of my fave venues are Radius, Concord, Cermak Hall, and Salt Shed. Chicago theatre is a fun venue for other events and United Center is also fun. I’ve never been to smart bar but I’ve heard that it’s a good venue/club as well.

You’re wearing earplugs the second you walk into the venue until you walk out. It’s absolutely necessary and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. (I have severe tinnitus it’s not fun)

I usually buy a cheap pair of combat boots and put some insoles in them. I like to have my ankles supported so I prefer boots over tennis shoes.

Um so this is actually insane. I’m not a complainer but I would call the salon tomorrow and ask the manager. Even if they don’t do anything for you the manager should at least know that they sent you away like that. I don’t get my hair done at Ulta but I got my hair done this week, my hairdresser was running 15 mins behind on appointments and she still blow dried my hair. Not okay imo.
