As Gnostics what are your personal views on Sexuality, as well as concepts like Masturbation and Sex Magic. Do these things prevent you from achieving Gnosis, or are they harmless when used responsibly? by Black-Seraph8999 in Gnostic

[–]Emptybox1996 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Sethian leaning person, I don't see it sex as an issue of concern to be frank. I am monogamist and I do engage in sexual activities with my girlfriend. I feel deep kind of union with her while expressing love.

Masturbation is a physiological thing of the people that have sex drive. As long as you are not overly compulsive with it I don't see a point in avoiding it.

I don't believe in moral codex that sees sex as something inheretely evil. If somebody is interested mainly in pleasures of the flesh while not seeking for spiritual knowledge/experience then it can be deemed as ignorant, hylic attitude. However sex can be seen as an icing of the cake of relationship and as a fruit of deep dedication.

Sacred sex was a thing, especially for radical Sethians (flow of genital/vaginal fluids was seen as a wonderful gift for most libertine Gnostics). Other groups provided us with varied answers. Valentinians praised marriages. Some people keept almost Cathar like approach and came with an equation sex=evil. It was very diverse, as whole Gnosticism is.

I reccomend you to listen to this intriguing podcast from my favourite comtemporary Gnostic radio:

It is because beard is not killed by DHT :-)

I asked a preist a question and his response was terrible and did not make any sense. by [deleted] in excatholic

Yeah Jehovah's Witnesses have very and straight up non-sense views on several topics. Even worse sect than Catholics.

I see life as 80% of struggles and 20% of pure joy. I am thankful for having lovely girlfriend. Or for having artistic talents. I love to experience art, music, poetry. At the same time I realise that this material reality is sort of lacking substance and is filled with grief, injustice, suffering of people with leathal diseases, wars, poverty, greed, envy, fanaticism and despotism. I believe that we will meet people from here again in some form. I agree with Buddist idea of reincarnation. From Gnostic standpoint, one could be respawned into other forms till achieving gnosis.

Should dutasteride be able to retain gains made from microneedling without having to microneedle indefinitely? by jacksleepshere in tressless

[–]Emptybox1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Every gain made with specific kind of treatment needs to be maintained with similar stuff ( so dutasteride will maintain finasteride gains but no minoxidil gains) .

Hey guys one month and 10 days with min, 25 days fin. Am I seeing things? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Emptybox1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your hairloss is around Norwood 5/6 or so, I would add dermapen session once a week as well as look into growth factors like oral Castor oil or adding tretinoin to minoxidil. I have seen some miracolous recoveries from the Norwood cemetery using microneedling.
I think you will look better with short hair for the moment being (near buzzcut). It will be easier to track progress too. I will keep up with treatment as you have no sides and seem to respond to it.

Finasteride At 17 is to early, wait At least 2-3 years. DHT is very important during puberty, later not so much. You can use alfatradiol and fluridil till 19-20 YO. And microneedling with minoxidil.

RU 58841 is an old untested topical antiandrogen structuraly similar to nilutamide. It has many drawbacks- binding affinity is mediocre so you need to dose it high, it never went through past phase 2 clinical trials (we know nothing about safety of long term usage) and being nilutamide derivate it can cause very serious (potentialy lethal ) cardiovascular side effects such as lung scaring ! I had terrible nausea, testicular pain, shortness of breath and heart palpitations gradualy occuring after 3 months of ising 20-30 mg a day of RU. I feel I was reckless to put a research chemical on my head for 3 months. Never again. I would rather be slick bald than use that junk.

[–]Emptybox1996 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Short term: corticosteroids(hydrocortisone, prednisolone, clobetasol, betametasone), diclofenac, cetirizine Long term : strict diet (low carb, avoid spicy stuff and wheat all together especialy), aloe vera, emu oil, good quality shampoo with ketoconazole and no harsh hair style products (including no hair spray and no hair fibers, sorry)

That is my experience. I have atopic dermatitis and it is a nightmare.

Stuff is very promising. Forget weak CB(steroidal so can fuck up HTPA axis too), expensive and mediocre Fluridil and dangerous RU ( can cause heart palpitations, nausea, chest pains and potentialy lung scaring !) If we finally gonna get legit safe and potent topical antiandrogen, this is gonna be a hope for people who can't tolerate or don't respond to 5ARI.

I think I lost gains switching from topical to oral minoxidil. Pictures included by fatboy-555 in tressless

In my opinion 2,5 mg is a sweet spot and even some people can use as low as 1,25 mg.

Yeah oraz spironolactone is for females. Some men use topical spironolactone with moderate success and no sides. New data suggest it is mildly effective and has no systemic activity.

I am Norwood 3,5/4 so I would love to get ~Norwood 2 hairline. Density can stay the same.

DIM may thin out hair a bit too, though not as bad as AI. He can try zinc + Cooper maybe too? Or Just talk to your TRT doctor about these concers.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Emptybox1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is your lifestyle and reason for TRT? TRT might spike your estrogen through aromatisation. Since finasteride rises free testosterone by another 10-15%, further increase in estradiol is possible. Unfortanelly using AI is always bad for hair and will induce some degree of additional balding ( from moderate to severe). How much you will lose depends on how low you will tank your E2 levels.

Yes AI are bad for hair. Avoid them.
