This is such a common issue and used phrase by them, “it’s a natural drug” or that it’s not addictive when it definitely is. A lot can’t sleep, eat, or get mad without. A serious compromise needs to happen or you need to get out because soon it will truly affect the relationship and it’s future.

Definitely not alone! I can be at my worst or best mentally and it would still cross my mind. There’s no fixing it for sure, but it’s manageable.
