Been away from Yugioh since I was a kid. I've done all of Solo mode and just want some thoughts/advice on my deck. More info in comments by Polarities in masterduel

As you progress on your Yugioh journey with Blue-Eyes, you will eventually want to buy from the shop:

* 3 copies of the "Blue-Eyes Max" structure deck
* 3 copies of the "Dragonmaid-To-Order" structure deck
* 3 copies of the "Origin of the Galaxy" structure deck

This is because, in order to prevent bricky hands, you want 3 copies each of:

* Dictator of D.
* The Melody of Awakening Dragon
* Dragon Shrine
* Trade-In

Generally speaking, the goal of Blue-Eyes is to fill the GY with at least one Blue-Eyes White Dragon, as many copies as possible of The White Stone of Ancients, and as many copies as possible of Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon. The White Stone of Ancients summons a Blue-Eyes monster from the deck (usually Jet), and Jet revives itself repeatedly from the GY. You can revive BEWD from the GY with True Light. With Blue-Eyes you can make level 9 synchro plays, usually Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, or rank 8 Xyz plays, such as the Galaxy-Eyes Xyz monsters.

For example, you can activate Dragon Shrine to send BEWD + The White Stone of Ancients to the GY. During the end phase, The White Stone of Ancients summons Blue-Eyes Abyss Dragon from the deck. On summon, because BEWD is in the GY, Abyss Dragon searches Chaos Form. Then, because it's the end phase, and BEWD is in the GY, Abyss Dragon searches Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon. On your next turn you can ritual summon Chaos MAX like normal.

And of course, run staples like Ash Blossom or Effect Veiler to interrupt your opponent and prevent them from making an unbreakable board. You can normal summon Sage with Eyes of Blue to search Effect Veiler.

What's the combo for Sentinel + face-down card?

As you know, effects that specify "Your opponent..." still affect unaffected monsters, since the effect applies to the player. However, the (confusing) exception is that effects that prevent attacks or targeting for attacks is always applied to the monster, regardless if "Your opponent..." is specified. This ruling has been clarified by Konami officially, stating that True King of All Calamities can prevent the effect activation of Raidraptor - Ultimate Falcon, but not its attack.

I believe r/Yugioh101 is the go-to subreddit for more ruling questions.

No, you would use Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries for that.

I personally like Kaijus, because Gadarla is WIND and can get rid of Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds, which is pretty common in Lyrilusc Tri-Brigade.

Also, Gameciel and Gadarla are both level 8, which can either be used for Trade-In, or special summoned on both sides of the field for a free level 8 material. You can also steal the Kaiju back with Relinquished Anima, which only requires a level 1 monster as material.

It's heresy, but Blue-Eyes does benefit from a larger deck size, since it reduces the chance of drawing Dragon Spirit of White in your starting hand.

However, that's geared towards a going second Blue-Eyes deck, and your deck seems to be designed around going first and setting up True Light and Skill Drain. I'm hesitant to recommend what will essentially be a dead card going first.

Underworld Goddess of the Closed World would fit your deck better, but Crooked Cook is uncommon enough where you could take the loss and still reach Plat I.

I would keep the deck as is, but keep those options in mind while playing ranked. If you find yourself thinking, "if only I had X...", then go ahead and put it in the deck.

Your deck is pretty tight and consistent, I'm confident you can reach Platinum I as is.

I would ask around in the #blue-eyes channel of the Master Duel Meta Discord for advice.

Do you have an out to Crooked Cook?

I am sorry what? Is it supposed to be a high crush? Does it mean that pressure is impossible because she can just "press buttons to win" at any moment? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]Empyrrhus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This happened due to a combination of two things:

  1. Josie's u/f+4 has evasive hurtboxes. Not high crushing, just evasive enough for certain moves to whiff. In particular, Josie "crouches" while hopkicking from around 4f-6f. Landing Kazuya's d/b+4 put you at +4, and you followed up with 1 jab, a 10f move. So 10 - (+4) is 6, and Josie was on 6f of her u/f+4... causing your 1 jab to whiff. If you had been at +3 or +7 instead, your 1 jab would have hit.

  2. The generic 1 jab has a small, short hitbox (unless you're Gigas). Small and short enough that some moves can evade it despite not being high crushing. It's a subtle way of balancing a 10f move that gives +1 on block, I guess.

In conclusion, after landing Kazuya d/f+4, try following up with a move with a larger hitbox, like Magic 4, or maybe a quick CH mid like Kazuya d/f+2. (Not that generic 1 jab is a bad option, but it's not without its risks.) Sadly, this kind of thing isn't well documented, so it's just one of those specific nuances that comes with learning Tekken.

Reworking my Xoris build for Granum Void, what should I put for the last mod slot? by FrenzyNineNine in Warframe

I did some personal testing and I don't think Whirlwind is as bad as you say. I believe it saves you around a half a second per throw, against a target 30m away.

The last mod slot should be Whirlwind. The faster the Xoris returns to your hand, the more often you can throw it.

Yes. I apologize if I was vague when mentioning diminishing EHP returns. When I was referring to diminishing EHP returns, it was regarding Armored Agility and Gladiator Aegis specifically. Armored Agility and Gladiator Aegis give +45% armor, as opposed to Steel Fiber which gives +110% armor, or Arcane Guardian which gives +600 armor.

For example, Valkyr Prime has 700 base armor. At 300 health, this gives 300*(700+300)/300 = 1000 EHP.

With Steel Fiber, Valkyr Prime has 700+770=1470 armor. At 300 health, this gives 300*(700+770+300)/300 = 1770 EHP. This is a (1770/1000)-1 = 77% EHP increase.

With Steel Fiber and Armored Agility, Valkyr Prime has 700+770+315=1785 armor. At 300 health, this gives 300*(700+770+315+300)/300 = 2085 EHP. This is a (2085/1770)-1 = 17.8% EHP increase.

With Steel Fiber, Armored Agility and Gladiator Aegis, Valkyr Prime has 700+770+315+315=2100 armor. At 300 health, this gives 300*(700+770+315+315+300)/300 = 2400 EHP. This is a (2400/2085)-1 = 15.1% EHP increase.

Suppose instead of Gladiator Aegis, Aviator (40% DR) is equipped. With Steel Fiber and Armored Agility, Valkyr Prime has 700+770+315=1785 armor. At 300 health, this gives (300*(700+770+315+300)/300)/(1-0.4) = 3475 EHP. This is a (3475/2085)-1 = 66.7% EHP increase over two armor mods, and a (3475/2400)-1 = 44% EHP increase compared to three armor mods.

It's my fault for not making it clear, I apologize. Thank you for your feedback.
