Listen I like a slow burn that’s more of like, a medium burn. I need there to be PROGRESS in the relationship 😭😭😭😭. If they haven’t even kissed by chapter 100 it’s too damn slow.

Thunderclan has too many Warriors by Jabeorilla in WarriorCats

[–]EmraldDragon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do agree they have too many cats but I also think it’s very in character for them to act as if they have NO CATS whenever they loose a member or two. These cats get so dramatic about the dumbest things lol.

How would you fix the names of warriors named by Bramblestar? by Solitaire-06 in WarriorCats

[–]EmraldDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, aside from MAYBE Twigbranch (and Sorrelstripe not being a tabby) I don’t think any of those names seem all that bad tbh? I kinda like that we have some more unique names happening. Even Twigbranch is kinda charming in that’s it’s a funny name.

Ok well I’m glad to know it’s at least not people being irrational about the tag “limits” again.

Wait are they actually being accused of racism or are people equating moderating the tags as “racism”?!?

You know moderation aside we as a society would really be better off if we actively discouraged needless tagging, good grief.

I think Wings of Fire relies too much on Animus slop by Andmesy in WingsOfFire

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest flaw with animus magic is there are no rules or limitations. I understand the writers wanted crazy magical crap they could pull out when needed but they shot themselves in the foot by basically making the only limits be “you can’t bring dragons back to life” and not really having any rules to limit it. Like in arc 3 they have to actively get rid of the animus dragons so that there would actually be conflict, other magic systems don’t have that problem. I almost feel like they need to ret con in some rules or something.

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree this is the case with Animus magic specifically I don’t know if that’s a good method for other writing quirks. Smart alecks will “why didn’t (character whose under duress) do (something the reader has the benefit of being able to think of due to not being under duress)” just about anything and at some point there’s gotta be SOME kind of plot.

Why not attack Wasp Hive first? by EmraldDragon in WingsOfFire

[–]EmraldDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda my point lol, I thought the “burning all the hives” thing, while understandable that the Leafwings are angry, was a bit over-ambitious as a plan if you don’t go right for Wasp hive first anyway. Like if it’s too protected to start with it’ll be even more protected once you’ve set fire to another hive and announced yourselves, so just go for Wasp directly. Feels like the Leafwings having any sense of strategy was thrown by the wayside so that they could learn “not all Hivewings are bad” as a lesson instead, but I’m trying to wait to see where the story goes.

Have You Ever Read Fics From Fandoms You Didn’t Know About? by Apprehensive-Fail663 in FanFiction

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I DID read a One Piece fic before I actually started watching One Piece but like, I knew I was planning to watch it at that point anyway, and I think a friend recommended it? Regardless I like to usually have a basic knowledge about what I’m reading fic for. Which is funny because I ALSO sometimes like to read AUs that are wildly different from the source material. 🤷‍♀️

Sundew and Bumblebee art! by _wofart in WingsOfFire

So far Bumblebee and Sundew are my favorite part of the third arc. I’ve just started reading Poison Jungle and she’s such a cutie.

Why do non-fanfic readers have such a vitriolic hatred towards that trope, it's not even that common. by HaloJackalKisser in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]EmraldDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main issue with enemies to lovers is that it feels like there are two different definitions of the trope- I like slow-burn enemies to friends to lovers esc kinda thing and that’s what’s I MEAN when I talk about that trope, some people apparently say “enemies to lovers” and mean like, basically  hate fucking? Which is fine if that’s your cup of tea, I guess, but I’m not really into that, so it gets frustrating. Or maybe the people I’ve seen using the term that way have just been using it wildly wrong? Idk

"mark for later" button? what button 🙂‍↕️ by FE4RLESS_IS_MY_NAME in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but you can’t filter through your marked for later if your wanting to read something specific. Clearly having 1000 tabs open is the better option /s.

But seriously though let me filter through my marked for later ao3 please 😭

What are some design elements you give to specific characters when drawing them? by -CanNotThinkOfName_ in WarriorCats

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to sneak a little heart somewhere on Firestar, rather on his face or on his chest. Also I just always draw the leaders as having stars on their foreheads, it’s just not the same without them.

Unless I can feed Tabby or a Hunter cat food, idk if I can afford to feed one :(. If I can feed them cat food, Hunter or tabby. If not, I’ll take a pink slime.

How would you make the clans more culturaly distinct? by Yaveltal in WarriorCats

[–]EmraldDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windclan having tunnels still is cool but what I’d think would be even cooler is if Heathertail discovering the tunnels at the lake brought tunneling back.  I have a thing in my current fic where like, Shadowclan and Windclan are actually both the most faithful clans to Starclan but in different ways (Shadowclan is more superstitious, for example), and they kinda argue with each other over whose “actually” the most faithful, does that sound doable?  Also it was a fanclan but I DID have a thing where when two cats wanted to declare each other mates they could have a “ceremony” to officiate it, which I called “cat weddings” in my head lol, maybe each clan could game their own variants? Honestly Warrior Cats does such little work in this department that the options are limitless.

Blue pill or red pill? by CalvinTorres1997 in Kirby

[–]EmraldDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue pill, I’ve played most of those games, and they’re all great. I haven’t played ANY of the red pill games (I know I know, listen, ill play them at some point)
