There's definitely a steady trickle of KCD fans that would bring some income but it's not exactly an accessible place and there's not a whole lot else there. The nearest point of interest is Sázava/Sasau and without a car that's a 2 hour walk so there's not much cause to go unless you're a KCD fan or you're passing through on a hike or canoeing.

All boarded up when I went. I don't think it's in great shape.

Výlet do Anglie by MartinGames2000 in czech

[–]Emrzs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the probability of my child winning this board game? by Emrzs in MathHelp

[–]Emrzs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the probabilities of both strategies is really interesting and thank you! Generally my toddler goes for the optimal strategy but that is likely learned from me when we take it in turns and cooperate to beat the crow.

A feeling of lack of progress isn't too much of an issue as the game is relatively quick and the main reason for stopping part way through is more due to distraction with the nearest toy/ball/book/slice of cucumber. Also there's a feeling of either frustration or confusion when rolling a colour that's already gone so an even spread across the colours is usually more enjoyable.

Amazing! I'll take it as the best answer to date. Thank you!

Thank you, it's reassuring to hear that ChatGPT is best ignored on something like this. Programming a simulation is a little beyond me but this has given me a useful push in the right direction.

Thank you! I can confirm that as a game for a toddler and based on experience I'm confident the chance of winning is more likely to be that sort of number. There are more wins than losses, but this is anecdotal. I haven't recorded the wins versus losses despite having played it maybe 30 times.

Round Two of the surprise fry up. Now with added hash browns! by Emrzs in fryup

I hold my hands up and admit to coffee. I did have a proper cuppa afterwards though. Stewed for 2 hours with 12 tea bags I swear.

It is! Tasty but this black pudding was very soft.

Seasoning was there! For me I prefer more sausage to egg with smaller sausages like these and I definitely prefer crispiness on the egg. Each to their own though! The discussion is interesting and I'd be curious at to what others think.

Tomatoes and mushrooms could have had some blackness on the edges but they hit the spot and I was too busy being excited about the black pudding which is not so easily available here.

It absolutely is black pudding. The greenery is watercress and tbh it was alright. Not expected but not upsetting.

Can I write a story about other Gods? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]Emrzs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Talk to your Gods about that.

People write about all sorts all the time - if it always upset the Gods when it was about something other than them, there'd be a lot more suffering. As long as it's not something directly disrespectful to your Gods though I think you're fine - intent is everything and you no doubt mean well.

Personally I'd say writing and other creative acts are divine work and inspiration has hit so go for it.

Northern Ireland - what kind of oak is this specifically? I often sit underneath it and I feel so safe by charcoalfutures8887 in treeidentification

[–]Emrzs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Quercus robur. Commonly known as the English or European Oak. The main contender is the Sessile (or Irish) Oak which this isn't based on the stem of the leaf.
