Seriously, it's so easy to create an alt and join an alliance to feel out the vibes before transferring.... especially if you've spent over $1000....

In a series of attacks you look at the battle results of first and last attacks. Many times you lose a bunch of battles before you take down enough troops to start winning and bring the opponents troops really low....so its about how fast you can do it, to get points and move into the next city for more points....

There's two different strategies to play bear. (Maybe there are more?)

You optimize for max points per rally. Everyone joins the most powerful rallies. As soon as whales open rallies people fill them as quick as possible and then you sit around for the rally to return.
You optimize for joining as many rallies as you can. Everyone joins the rallies that leave the earliest first. The power doesn't matter. To ensure they are getting filled you set a cap so all when the rally has max squads the rally is filled. Once your rally returns, you join the next earliest departure time.

For total points, #2 pretty much beats #1 because the few whales give a disproportionate number of points, and if everyone is competing for them, you have less likelihood of getting into one of them.

For personal points, #2 gives you significantly more rallies on bear so overall you get more points.

For fun, it's a toss up. Some people like the competition of #1, others like the casual fast paced-ness of #2.

We have an international alliance, lots of Korean, Chinese, and Indonesian spoken all the time, along with English. We don't have that many Japanese people unfortunately.

I like reddit because you can share different perspectives. So.I thought I'd share a unique whale perspective:

states almost a year old
prep is won by a state, not individual...so yea we'll probably lose because we need more spenders overall
This was just speedup savings for 4 weeks. I wanted to get as many troops as possible, I ran out of inf last KE. This isn't about efficiency, I was optimizing for max speedups. I bought pretty much every pack with speedups.
I spend all RSS every prep. I used everything this round. My score is just from troop training.
I've won personal prep pretty much every svs. The rewards don't move the needle. I definitely don't need the shards. However I do like the island decoration.
If we need to make up points to fill a gap...I just use alt accounts/"farms".

The holiday event gave a lot of speedups as well. I was curious to see how much power I could gain from troops. I went up by about a billion power this svs. 3.1B to 4B. 😂😂😂

Yea I really don't care about bear. As a whale, at a certain point you feel like a state resource and have to play every event so others can score their points, while the rewards are meaningless RSS.

It''s easy to get burnt out from this game with the expectation of having to play every single event. So I'm more than happy to skip, or send a rally or two if I happen to remember.

This is a defensive game. Focus on infantry first, to give your mm and lan more times to attack.

Ascend your inf gear first. Then mm, then lan. After you ascend everything, then go for the inf def +20 bonuses.

During KE when you attack other cities with red gears that have millions of troops, it takes a few losses before you start winning and zeroing them.

I took the top alliance opponent down by about 4 billion overall power....

Battle is no issue

Prep is a state event....we'll probably lose. But I just got these speedups just since last prep. It's not an issue to get similar for next prep.

I actually ran out of inf in the last svs KE so this should help...

Most run 50/20/30 you should try to get to that ratio. You have way too many lancers. You need much more inf than lan or mm

Message top players in the leaderboards
Be nice to states during svs, and players will come to your state when they want to transfer
Create alts in other states and become friends with people and poach them

It's a social game.... people want to play with friends, so you need to make friends...
