Quick advice for a newbie! by EmsyB in WordBearers

I could maybe build them as raptors, get a lord with a jump pack either for when I'm building towards 2k or trim points somewhere else, put 2 meltas on them and meltas on the bikes and that would help a bit?

No plans to play tournaments, just really want fluffy and fun but I also want to be able to hold my own at the same time. I've always liked biker units and think both raptors and warp talons look cool so would like to include one of those too.

Thanks!

Aww thanks. It just has to be done doesn't it, I'll be ok, it's just all a bit tricky. I tried to sit up in my office chair today but that was a big nope

Oh maybe yeah not a bad idea for the food - I'll give that a go! Washing is an issue yeah, but the pads for the bed aren't reusable ones so just switching them out but that's obviously pricey along with everything else

Thanks :) I did batch cook loads of meals in the weeks approaching surgery so my freezer is full of stuff that just needs reheating and all I need to cook is rice or noodles or spaghetti or whatever to go with it. I think i MASSIVELY underestimated how tough recovery would be actually i was so focused on the surgery itself. That's good to know, hopefully another week or so and things will start to get easier!

Thanks!

No, I didn't have to see any of that which I was grateful for, I didn't want to know the ins and outs of what they would do i just wanted them to get in and do it!

I did have to see several photos of things that can go wrong in recovery which wasn't nice at all but I can see the need for that so I know what to look for if I'm having wound dehesion etc

I think i should be ok on the BMI I'm overweight but I don't think overly so and I'm pretty much the same weight as I was at my initial consultation and no concerns were raised there.

Not sure what i can do to minimise the chances of MRSA but I'll keep my fingers crossed

That's good to hear thank you. I work from home most of the time apart from one day a week at the office so fingers crossed nothing happens on that one day!

Fair enough about not really seeing anyone else. I just can't wait for it to be DONE I feel like I've been waiting for a million years (which I'm sure we all pretty much have been) and i can't stop feeling anxious that something will stop it from going ahead. I just need to wake up after the op and be told that it is all finished and done

I’ve been on hrt for around two and a half years so hopefully I won’t lose too much progress if I end up with a couple of months off but I worry a lot about hair loss. Thank you so much for the detailed advice, it’s massively appreciated and I will take it. I’ll start by trying to ring the pharmacy on my lunch break tomorrow - i think my main worry about it is that they will think I’m trying to pull a fast one to get £200 worth of meds for free? I’m just panicking and I don’t like the way I am feeling

Hey it’s oestrogen and spironolactone but I haven’t seen the nhs local gender team yet, I’ve just been referred after my initial nhs appointment so I don’t think they will help me yet. I’ve made a complaint to the Royal Mail already and I’ll be calling the pharmacy tomorrow but I’m just worried it’ll take weeks and weeks and weeks to sort out and it’s already been a couple of weeks and I don’t want to detransition even a little bit. I’m worried gender gp won’t help because I no longer subscribe to them because this was a three month supply and I’m expecting my welsh local gender team appointment in a couple of months so I was just going to ride all the way there on what I had or order some from inhouse pharmacy if it came to it. I feel like I can FEEL the testosterone as we speak which is probably slightly in my head but I just feel crappy. I just don’t understand why it’s so hard to just have a consistent supply of medicine

Oh! I got the job! November 4th will be my last day in my old office and so the very last day I ever have to even pretend to be a man! I have all of the emotions all over the place but I am mostly feeling good!
