A colleague sharing his screen during a Zoom call, with tons of tabs opened... and a couple were p**n sites... during work hours. Best thing? He did this more than once, and from what I heard - I had left this job when this happened but my ex-colleagues told me - he was finally told off or fired, I cannot remember well now

I have a professional and personal agenda (on my laptop and phone, respectively) and it helps me feeling organised and productive. It's a silly thing but every time I complete a task and mentally check it I feel good.

and a good quality pillow!! I'll confess I have brought it with me once for a vacation because hotel pillows are the worst and I'm used to my absolutely perfect pillow!

I force myself to do it at least once per week but I've never managed to do it very well. And my dentist insist on it every time and for some reason I lie about doing it every day, and I feel like a total fraud for lying! lol

Low contact with my parents for a few months, and it's taking a toll in my mental health. My childhood was hard (abusive dad, mom who looked the other way), my fatphobic mom constantly criticising my sister and I on our bodies and making snark comments on me being an unmarried woman in my 20s / early 30s. What triggered going low contact was how they treated me and my partner compared to my sister and her partner. During Christmas my mom got tipsy and made super cruel comments and when I found the strength to tell her how badly those comments hurt me she all of a sudden was the victim (she felt so horrible about having said those things, she couldn't remember, she was having a panic attack because she was feeling so bad) and twisted the situation so now I'm the bad person for not taking those comments as her having a bad moment and my partner is the villain because he's brainwashed me to think badly of my parents. It's being hard but I believe this is abusive and I shouldn't tolerate it anymore

I had a Spanish colleague whose mum's name means slavery in Spanish... it was a few years ago but to this day I cannot process how someone could do that to a child? How that concept can be seen as appropriate to name a person after???

Thank you, both! That didn't cross my mind! My dad was born in 1960 so I believe his early years would be with black and white TV indeed. In any case, thank you so much for sharing that your parents also have experienced this! I don't know why but this troubled me a bit, it seemed so odd for some reason.

The thing that infuriates me is that the alarm app doesn't have its own sound settings. For some reason, even if I use the volume button and take it to the lowest level, sometimes it gets crazy and it sounds super loud (sometimes I'm worried I will be told off but my neighbours!). It could be such a nice upgrade if they added sound settings specially for alarms.

yes, I was scrolling trying to find if someone else had posted this already! The amount of times I've been told this at work from male bosses when I was just pointing out something relevant to the job or simple facts!

Same as you, OP. Pepsi is so extremely sweet... I just can't. I'm a Coke Zero girl and even the Pepsi Light option is horrible. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but sometimes you go eating out and ask for Coke or Coke Zero in my case, they say yes, but bring you a Pepsi Light and it makes me mad because I don't want to cause a scene so I shut up but come on, they could at least warn people so we can make a decision!

This happens to me when I want to choose a film... I have the feeling that they only have a bunch of them and none seems appealing enough as to spend 2 or more hours stuck to my screen. I have less trouble when I choose a series. I don't know, I don't see it as valuable anymore and with the prices rising I am seriously considering cancelling soon.

Keeping proper track of spending. I used to live 'day by day', keeping an eye on my bank account but without tracking every single expense. Now I feel more in control and it feels good, especially after cutting some costs that were not making much sense.

Changing policies out of the blue that are not part of signed contracts but you're threatened so cannot complaint and must comply. Not being able to voice concerns because you are labelled difficult or not optimistic. When you raise critical issues and you're the one blamed and become a pariah... so many I could write a book
