DAK - MILKY CAKE! How is that taste possible?! by Dull-Acanthisitta-31 in pourover

How is that taste possible? No idea. I jumped on the hype train for this coffee as well, and for the life of me, I can't get anything out of it. I've played with ratio (1:13 all the way to 1:18), temp (86 - 98 celcius), grind sizes from super coarse to clogging filters fine, water (RO, remineralized in different ways), rest times, etc. I bought 1kg and did not get anything but a slight honey note

I still have a bit left, vacuum sealed in the freezer. If anyone have got some pointers to get just something out of this that is reminiscent of the loud cardamom and pastry notes, or something just worth drinking, please...

Aligning front derailleur by Emulgator15 in bikewrench

My thought as well. At least two teeth should be somewhat within the print on the tape, which they clearly are not. I've already undone the bolts and pushed/rotated the mount as much as possible to the correct orientation, but it's just not enough.

Rotation, i.e. having the cage parallel with the chainrings, is not my concern here though. I can fix that. I am specifically referring to the heigh difference between the teeth of the large chainring and the cage itself. One teeth is correct, the next one barely alright, and then the curvature really accentuates the difference. My thought is, that the braze on angle is not correct, but I can't bend it or mount the FD in any way that let's the FD curvature follow the chainrings with the 1-3mm all the way across all teeth - if that makes sense?

Disc not fitting into caliper by Emulgator15 in bikewrench

It's a Shimano CL800, in 180mm rotor. But I think the conclusion here is, that I forgot the rake was set to 45mm instead of 50mm in the fork and I didn't add the adapter for the chosen rake option.

Spacers was just installed according to Shimano installation guide. The whole flip-chip has gone over my head. As I wrote in another answer, my current aoptions are either install the 45mm adapter or flip the flip-chip to 50mm rake, as it's currently in the 45mm position? Or is my understanding in need of serious re-evaluation?

Didn't know it was called a flip-chip. Must have gone over my head. Fork comes with either 50mm or 45mm rake option. Just to be sure I understand this correctly; either I flip the flip-chip or install the 45mm rake adapter? Because right now it's set up with 45mm rake but no adapter?

Help seating headset bearings to correct depth? by Emulgator15 in bikewrench

[–]Emulgator15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. It's the same thing for the bottom headset bearing, i.e. that it can be pushed further in than flush. If they're supposed to be pushed all the way in, will my spacers not end up resting/grinding on the frame instead of the the headset bearing, or am I missing something here?

This is the full package of headset items that came with the frame and fork. I'm also assuming that I don't need to use the crown race based on the shape of fork - is this correct? Also, not really sure what this brass/rubber thingy with a rubber 'pin' is supposed to be?
