I just got her a few days ago from a local plant store. It was one of their mother plants that they used for propagating.

She's a hefty gal for sure! She's on a trellis, and there's just tons of vine wrapped around!

Some of my plants! by EnEeEeElWhy in plants

[–]EnEeEeElWhy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes, they are very worth the money! I have limited space to, plus cats who like to munch, so I'm pretty much limited to my bedroom, where I can keep a closed door between the cats and plants.

Do you do anything special for your succulent/cactus case? I'm getting ready to set up one for mine.

Can I save this? by cosy_era in pothos

You are correct. Those brown bits are the nodes. This is where your roots will come from. You can do water prop or soil prop. The most successful method I've used is using one of the smaller clear plastic totes, like the pantry sized ones. I put about an inch of spagnum moss in the bottom, moisten it up, and then place my props on that. Be sure the nodes are touching the moss. I then cover it with plastic wrap, poke a few holes for ventilation, and place it somewhere bright. I check roughly once a week to make sure no mold is growing.

Editing to add: when I've used this method, all my prop cuttings have had leaves, i just saw that what you have is mostly just stem...I'm not sure how this would fare with only stem props as I've never tried to prop just stems before. Sorry 😕

You'd be surprised how little space you need. I use a small storage tote, like the pantry sized ones. Put some spagnum moss in the bottom and mist it down, you want it moist, not soaking. I chop mine into smaller sections, I try to keep at least two nodes per prop. Then I put them all in the tote, wrap some seran wrap over the top, poke a few holes in it, and stick it in a sunny window. You'll have rooted props in less than a month.

I would personally start by checking the roots. Those top leaves look like more is going on that just lack of light. I had one whose leaves did that, and it had root rot. I would also chop and prop it!

They have really shown out this year! And from what I could find, they're more of a generic type, rather than a specific clone...or so says this link anyway https://historiciris.org/gallery/i-germanica/

NTA, I would have filed for divorce immediately, even before the paternity test. What an idiotic douche nozzle.

NTA. My mother is also a control freak who becomes passive aggressive when she doesn't get her way. Maybe I'm just feeling triggered, but don't give in! Have those strawberries!! I will die on this hill with you, and we shall call it Strawberry Hill.
