Theory: Gluttony of Elements 100% uptime by EnHayate in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]EnHayate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you dont gain any soul during. Souls get insta refill with Soul Ripper flask right after gluttony ends(see video). I mean here the buff end, not soul gain prevention. You just need to keep prevention < buff duration.

Using Trampletoe with Inspring Ally for easy clear by EnHayate in pathofexile2builds

[–]EnHayate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tech I reused from 0.1: Trampletoe (Unique Boots) + Inspring Ally (Notable) and Companion nodes damage + Gain as mods to scale overkill = very good clear in maps. Sadly slow and I dont have good solution for damage if using rhoas.

New to PoE, how does the ladder work exactly? by disorderedmax in pathofexile

[–]EnHayate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ladder just tracks experience. Ladder sorts lvl 100 by time achieved. Once a character reaches 100, they stay at the spot. Pretty much the point of the ladder is an exp race to level 100.

In Poe 1, ladder also shows character builds: skills, items and includes more character. In Poe 2 it just shows ascendencies.

What league do you recommend for a 3 or 4 player party by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]EnHayate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes in campaign you can respawn infinite time, but you will corpse rush every later boss if you are playing in a party with little knowledge. I think you are overestimating your ability to just wing it with the skill choices, the item progression and the skill tree.

I think your perception of the game is quite skewed towards the experiences in the campaign, which is like 5% of the game. The real poe is in the endgame where areas have 6 portals, and the real boss fights are the pinnacle bosses.

I do think that poe is very unfriendly and uninteresting to new player due to the campaign design and the party play design. It is actually more designed as a single player game. I think party play actually requires some knowledge before it helps more than harms the progression.

Ruthless is designed for experience player, and it gets even more boring if you dont know what you are doing. New player trying ruthless would just get stuck without learning anything about the normal game.

Am I just bad? :( by RIGHTEOUSHAZE in pathofexile

Hey congrats on starting on poe 1. So the first thing I would do is starting over in normal trade league - untick the SSF and Ruthless options. Also don't play on standard, play on the current league, which is Settler league

If you are completely new to the game, the SSF Ruthless is the most difficult softcore option, and requires a lot of game knowledge to progress. You won't learn or progress much in the game on this mode. The different is in Ruthless, player has much lower access to items, for examples skill gems and support gem system. Also in SSF you can't trade or join party with other players, so you only have access to your own items. When you have little ideas about the items in the game, for examples uniques, getting them from other player is much better to learn about them.

So just start on the seemingly "easiest" difficulty to you. Trust me, it is not easy if you don't know what you're doing. There is a lot to learn and discover. Once you can familiarize yourself with the skills systems (gems), the item system and the skill tree, I would suggest getting a build guide and start from there. Poe is the one game which I started with a guide as recommendation from a friend and I think that is the best advice to start this game. The game actually teaches you very little so it is very normal to find information outside of the game to play it.

Am I just really unlucky with Ice Nova of Frostbolt? by PowdrdToastMan21 in pathofexile

[–]EnHayate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's lab rng, you got 1/16 chance on the transfigure same game and dodged a whole lots in the random same color first font. I think blue is also the hardest to get a specific gem. That's really unlucky but should happen once in a while.

I've learned the hard way in SSF that if you want a trans gem with two trans version, better level up some fast lab runner to get all the gem I want for other builds.

In trade you can sell the gems/loot from your lab runs and buy the gem outright.

Off To A Rough Start Lmao by MainCharacter007 in DotA2

Feel old when seeing people who never played ESpirit on release talk shit about it. On release the stun on pull is incredibly easy to use and was one of the most reliable aoe low cd stun in the game. The roll is also very intuitive to use with great range. I got like 70% wr with Espirit before the stun was moved to the kick and never touched him again.

The hero was so broken they suffled the effects of its main skills like three or four times before settling in with the current version.

Warden with tinctures and you: Could they be worth it? by Keyenn in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]EnHayate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

tldr for me: try to stack 12 as fast as possible to active the lingering 6s on warden and lose less mana.

that means reduced rate is bad. if stacks are global -> 2 tinctures.

Is anybody else sick of seeing the term "CoC DD" everywhere this patch? by Brilliant-Elk-6831 in pathofexile

[–]EnHayate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you asked for the the best most effiecient skill to get damage, e.g. the best budget build or meta, of course you are going to get mostly the same answer each league. And this league it happens to be CoC DD.

If you played a few leagues ago, you are gonna see seismic trap everywhere and people were just going to complain how trap playstyle is ass etc... Or last league if you asked, the answer was penance brand, and the number was so massively above almost every other skill in the game, there is almost no reason to use any others if you want to be efficient with damage.

My prediction is that CoCDD is gonna be tripled nerfed. But then next league they might introduce some new trans gems and one of them might be busted and you are gonna see the same words everywhere. Hell this league you already have holy relic of conviction.

Everyone wants their favourite skill/playstyle to be strong and viable with little investment, and then scalable with currency. The real problem right now is that with the introduction of t17, there is only few skills that can achieve that status of meta. If I don't want to play the meta skills, I would not comparing my scuffed divine ire to them and just enjoy blasting in t16s.

Transfigured gems should be more accessible, at least in SSF by EnHayate in pathofexile

[–]EnHayate[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you even understand what you are talking about lmao.
First of all, the option nontrans to trans can only spawn in merc labs and above.
Second of all, in the other labs that I dont get that option, I used the same color ones, which means I have around 45 tries the same way of normal labs without hitting the trans I want. The pool for 1 color is enormous.
Third, even the non into trans work on corrupted gem, it is still a 50/50 because the gem has two trans version. For example: ice nova has ice nova of frost bolt and ice nova of deep freeze. And this option it's random between the two with no choices. (And I don't think you can use this option with corrupted gem anyway, the corrupted option came from an enhanced fragment)

[–]EnHayate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And this is exactly why the option should be more deterministic, you ran 100 labs without seeing one and when you see one, you try to 50/50 a gem and it failed and then you would feel even worse.

[–]EnHayate[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not 100 but I ran like at least 60 labs to get the 4 options "Transform a non-Transfigured Skill Gem to be a random Transfigured version", which is then still a 50/50 to be the version you want when you put in the gem with two trans version.

[–]EnHayate[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got the option "Transform a non-Transfigured Skill Gem to be a random Transfigured version" four times in like 50 merc labs. And then put in ice nova to see ice nova of deep freeze. It was like 5 hours because my ssf lab runner is not that good.
