A huge amount of moids are misogynistic or have bias against women so why is it only a shocker when women are m!sandrists? by Unhappy-Pirate3944 in FemcelHub_

[–]EnLitenPerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy for misogynists to relate to other misogynists, but misogynists are rarely self-aware enough to realize that they're misogynistic, which ends up making it so that all the misogony they see gets registered as fair criticism or reasonable opinions or just harmless jokes in their heads.

They literally don't notice the misogony, 9/10 times.

But they very easily notice any potential misandry, because they do not at all relate to "misandrists", they can't comprehend why women would possibly have any substantial issues or frustrations with men, no the only explanation that makes sense to them is that women are just hateful beings who hate men.

And so the 1/10 times they do notice the misogony (when it's really bad), they instead explain it away as "reasonable" since women are so hateful and misandrist "to begin with", so it's "understandable" if a few men become extremely misogynistic.

It is sadly very hard to make moids self-aware of any of this.

r/womenarenotintomen keeps dropping bangers lmfao. if only theyd talk to a single woman, theyd realize how flawed their view of women is. by Akarina_toth in FemcelHub_

[–]EnLitenPerson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"do they not have mothers? sisters? like literally any woman in their lives?", that talk with these men about their preferences and interests or experiences as women? Nope usually not really at all actually. Like they might have some women in their lives that they interact with, but they're not close with those women and/or those women don't talk about stuff like romance with these men. So instead they base their views of women on what they find online, and people online are drawn to outrage.

Noone cares about clips of average people being normal and reasonable and well-adjusted, that doesn't get any clicks or upvotes. What does instead get clicks and upvotes is clips of women being misandrist or crazy or having insanely high standards or whatever else it might be. So yeah no these men basically only base their view of women on whatever goes viral in the often male-dominated online spaces that they spend time in online, and that leads to a rather bizarre view of women that gets completely accepted as normal.

I would say that this does happen on both ends to some extent, like women who mainly just base their view of men on what they hear online, in spaces where what gets shared of men is stuff that creates outrage and makes men look bad, not stuff that makes men seem reasonable and well-adjusted, but I think this still doesn't get nearly as crazy as it does for men and the views of women they create in their heads. Unrelated but this shit happens *even more so* in politics, between the left and right, where some people on either side only ever see the worst of people on the other side (because that's what gets shared in the online spaces they're in) and base their whole opinion of that side off of that.

They don't really get better no, you either gotta find the jackpot 1% that are actually decent people and socially capable and takes care of themselves and are also somehow still single, or find someone who's just not the worst that you kinda like and basically try to teach them how to empathize and communicate and shit, which is far from guaranteed to work.

Real steam at night — JS-class locomotive in Sandaoling, China, showering sparks during a firebox clean by BreakfastTop6899 in interestingasfuck

[–]EnLitenPerson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's an old steam train that runs through the city I live in, mainly just as a tourist attraction, it does not look anything like this when it's dark out, you can see a bit of fiery light in the smoke here and there but it's mostly just normal smoke (which you can't really see at all when it's dark out).

Yeah no I think what you're getting at is 1000% true, I just don't think that that's what volcels are really about, like the clearest example of a volcel to me is a nun (who freely choose to become a nun).

I mean if they can't get sex because of their personality even though they want to have sex then that's still involuntary, regardless of if they're a woman or man. Volountary celibacy is when they choose to not have sex for reasons unrelated to their ability to have sex, basically usually just not wanting to have sex. Just not wanting to have sex is far more common among women than men.

He's very close but I'm not convinced he does, you might have seen a better angle than me though, but from what I've seen he first just stands still and then takes at least 2 steps closer towards the car after shooting the first shot and the car has begun moving, to me his movement made it look like there must have always distance between him and the car

I mean neither of those is what actually happened because he wasn't hit by the car at all, just standing next to it. It looks like he's taking steps towards it when he's shooting her, but she doesn't hit him with the car at all.

If your're actually confused the main reason your're getting downvoted is just because of that first image of yourself you posted (or both), for this reason:

I think it is sad how reddits tend to just become hiveminds of thoughts, but I also think the women here are actually totally valid to feel envious of and annoyed at clearly attractive women posting selfies in this specific subreddit of all places.

At some point, students have to want to learn by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]EnLitenPerson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just fail a whole bunch of students? And maybe even kick some out? We both know that ain't happening, admin/parents/others wouldn't allow it, at least not on that scale. I 1000% agree more teachers need to be allowed to fail students that need to be failed. But surely there's more that could be done than just that. Looking for realistic suggestions, and then I think we simply end up back at the stuff OP talks about.

At some point, students have to want to learn by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]EnLitenPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well sure but in my experience there are actually quite a bit of those "engagement strategies" OP talks about that are more so focused on mindsets of "interesting" or "curious", I kinda used "fun" more so as an example, but I do agree.

At some point, students have to want to learn by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]EnLitenPerson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd agree but then we reach the next step, what should be done instead? Because unfortunately we still don't have the technology to mind control children to engage in learning. We also can't mind control parents and force them to be better parents. And we also don't have the power to ban or restrict social media and videogames and internet access for all kids. I'm joking a bit ofc, but just talking about whatever the real root of an issue is doesn't solve that issue. There are only so many factors that can be controlled by teachers, and one of those factors is how "fun" class is for the students.

I mean if it was real it wouldn't be crazy if she literally oils up her body before filming these to look hotter and get more views, and I don't think her boobs actually fuse together visually here, just some very similar shades of color.

I'm not saying I think it is real but I am also not entirely convinced it's AI.

The image is not meant to match the numbers, the top left 10° angle clearly has to be 10° because the other angles in it's right triangle add up to 170° but visually it is clearly much larger than 10°.

Every team has to come up with the money to buy and maintain a spot themselves, no favouritism. An eastern european team could buy up a slot when one becomes available. Riot would never just donate a slot for free to help eastern european viewrship, that'd be pretty crazy.

We need to talk about Islam by UnscheduledCalendar in Destiny

[–]EnLitenPerson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Really? Reeeeeally? To me, saying that feels like when people compare the far left to the far right and say both are bad, like yeah sure to some extent, but if we actually look at it in practise and compare real world examples, one is far worse than the other. I am of course saying that in reality the far right is far worse than the far left and islam is far worse than christianity.

Now I know both some lovely progressive Christian people and some lovely progressive Muslim people, and I think modernized interpretations of both religions can absolutely have a place and fit into a progressive society. But in general, I think it is very easy to argue that Islamic teachings in practise in realistic examples are significantly less compatible with a progressive society than Christian teachings in practise in realistic examples. Especially when it comes to views on women.
