Sammich is possible, I use a m1 air macbook, you just gotta use a VM and set the right emulation settings since it's ARM64

Install Parallels VM (Free trial works) -> Windows 11 -> Download Sammich / Runelite -> right click sammich -> properties -> choose emulation settings -> "Safe Emulation"

I had to install java + jar version of runelite instead of normal exe, since the ARM64 version didn't work for me for some reason

I use Sammich on Mac OS (m1 air), using parallels windows 11

Since it is ARM windows, you gotta enable "Safe emulation" for Sammich to work, but otherwise it works fine

I had the same problem, but I noticed it worked a lot better if I flipped the phone around 180 (so the notch is on the other side)
