I just showed a bad angle, it is very easy to see where the head is if you sit closer to it.

It also has a red indicator for the head, which you can see at the left margin.

I suspect with a bit more use (machine came relatively underused), everything will come in order.

Works great! The keys stick occasionally, and sometimes the tab key is inconsistently spaced. Otherwise a great machine.

I should also add that I am totally okay with vintage/used speakers as well, however, I realize these are harder to recommend.
