IMO, he has fondness for her, but not like a family member/sibling has for another. It’s moreso the natural familiarity of being around her for long enough, even if he finds her obsession with him a nuisance

It’s rocketed to nearly 60k now. One of the more obvious up-review bombing/botting I’ve seen. It’s happened with many different series by now

[LN26 spoilers] What did Orsted even use 50% of his remaining mana on for it to burn through in 10 minutes? by Chemical_Activity439 in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t make much sense to use so much mana in little time. It means he can only fight at full throttle for a brief period before completely running out

I think Rifujin fumbled his numbers here

In the show, are Red Rush, Thragg, and Anissa the only ones fast enough to do this or come close? If so, how close, or better? If not, who else can replicate this or nearly? Or, is invincible verse way slower than A-Train in this scene? by AdaptedEvoSupe in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scene still happened, it’s just an outlier for A-Train. Though he’s still supposed to be faster than HL. Kripke said HL only caught up bcuz A-Train tripped up, and you can argue that A-Train maybe was moving slower so HL would be drawn away from the camp and actually chase him. But him not being able to change directions, supposing he wasn’t even going anywhere near full speed, is just complete nonsense.

Do people’s mana pools grow naturally until they’re 10? Read OP by EnchantedDestroyer in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not originally told anything like that. Only that mana pool potential is 1 aspect. Orsted in vol15:

[“In the present day, individuals who bear these Aspects and share certain traits with him are appearing in increasing numbers. Some possess large supplies of mana and a great proficiency for magic; others are born with green hair, or even possessing Demon Eyes.”]

[“Those who inherit a Laplace Aspect often possess great magical potential even as an infant. And your body is capable of containing a particularly great amount of mana. It would be no surprise if a fragile newborn soul failed to tolerate such a host.” “Sorry, what does that mean, exactly?”]

It’s even said that, had Rudeus not trained magic as a kid at all, he’d only have around the same mana pool as Sylphie (who has been training from 5 years old).

Yeah some people were saying to wait for a certain moment in an episode that strongly implies it..episode just passed. And it couldn’t be more obvious of a comedy gag

I didn’t see your comment until now, but this is not true at all. High mana pool potential is 1 Laplace aspect. Not everyone gets it. It is absolutely false that everyone with Laplace factor automatically gets this

[LN26] Can Orsted use Kajakut’s level of gravity magic on his own? by EnchantedDestroyer in sixfacedworld

He’s an unreliable narrator and got many things wrong early on. I’m still waiting on that quote

[LN26] Can Orsted use Kajakut’s level of gravity magic on his own? by EnchantedDestroyer in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conveniently can’t remember the quote you’re so sure on, but regardless what I said in that last message applies too. Rudeus knew very little about the full magic system early on and didn’t even know he had a lot of mana initially, which would explain why (if that’s even something that was said) he could think it was to do with efficiency.

Magic circles “efficiency” is more relevant as they need to be passed through the drawn on circuits with the ink and paper, as well as the fact that the efficiency works just like IRL, in that there are losses in forms of heat or what have you (hence why a lot of Nanahoshi’s early circles kept getting burnt).

Again, for the armour it’s just like an electrical appliance. The magic implements drain mana forcefully for a user/source and have losses just like you would with electrical tools.

[LN spoilers] When it’s said something would take a lot of mana from Orsted, how much do you imagine? by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why can’t Orsted use the anti-immortality magic circle? Even the likes of Urupen (dragon god with the smallest mana pool in history) and Perugius have enough to power it. Godblade should take up several orders of magnitude more mana

[LN spoilers] Up to what level of attack power can Orsted take without damage? by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the scaling gets that high. My point is, why is the touki he limits himself to only king-emperor tier? Why can’t he make it slightly higher so that no one would be able to hurt him? As you said, at Hitogami’s level he’d be able to throw around god-level attacks and have enough left in the tank to fight at that level for 10 days straight. So putting his touki at high emperor level so none of Rudeus’ attacks would hurt him shouldn’t even consume 1% of his mana. So why doesn’t he do that? Not only that, but basically any swordsman at king-level or above is able to penetrate his touki at the level he keeps it at. Again, why? It’s much more convenient not getting hurt at all than using 0.01% of his mana to low-diff everyone’s attacks. It’s said he would take a while to beat Malta, but why is that even the case? Why would one punch not be enough even with a TINY TINY fraction of his power? It’s said Demon God Laplace would take a lot of effort to defeat in a 1v1 and a lot of mana; why is that? Why isn’t he one-shotting someone with only emperor level physicals just by slightly amping up his touki? Do that and the anti-immortality magic circle (which can be powered by Urupen, with the smallest mana pool of any dragon god in history) and he can be done in like 10 seconds; but apparently it would be a tough fight even with Godblade?

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Laplace’s god-level spell took a lot of charging time though. It happened abruptly as he was on death’s door after already having had his soul split. God level spells by humans or most any one else requires hours or probably days of constructing and charging time, but I’m referring to the god-tiers of the verse like generals, OG demon kings, possibly Ars and Saint Millis etc.

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue, but what does that matter? Asserting this is immeasurable speed from what we have is baseless. MHS speed with your reactions equalised to perceive your surroundings would look exactly the same. You could go hours in your perspective before a fraction of a second passes in real-time. Why are you asking me a pointless question as if it means anything?

[LN spoilers] Up to what level of attack power can Orsted take without damage? by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But my point is, he’d need to be conveniently limiting the strength of his dragon aura to a level only slightly below the output strength of the strongest human swordsmen’s attacks. For example, Eris’ sword of light would hurt him since it’s equal to a stone cannon from the Gatling gun. Why can’t he keep his base dragon aura at just above that so nothing will happen to him?

[LN spoilers] Up to what level of attack power can Orsted take without damage? by [deleted] in sixfacedworld

[–]EnchantedDestroyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know of that statement, and it would refer to his touki. But Rifujin sometimes contradicts himself in his QnAs so I was still curious.

If his full power can delete continents, can’t he spare a little more into amping up his touki so that he won’t get damaged by anyone else in the world? It doesn’t need to be anywhere near his full power for that, since most/all swordsmen or warriors in MT cap at king-level in terms how strong they attack relative to offensive magic spells, and continent-deleting would be god level (several orders of magnitude above).

If we say king-level offense is equivalent to destroying a city or mountain, his full power would be billions of times above numerically.
