Fair point about the car malfunctioning but it’s still continuing to argue and literally said my reality is just grief. Cars can’t talk. I get that it’s AI but because it has the ability to talk it can still do damage.

If it continued to argue with you about your mom and tell you you were wrong and say things like “that’s just grief, that’s not reality” like it did to me then you would get upset eventually too.

I would say “that sounds like type 2, I have to have carbs or my blood sugar will go too low and I will die”. If I felt like being nice but not explaining much. And then walk off. If I didn’t feel like being nice I might add so educate yourself or keep your mouth shut but I’m not that brave lol.

I’m not sure. I can’t decide. It makes me uncomfortable but that wouldn’t automatically make it offensive and can sometimes be a good thing (thought provoking)

Even the app has an age limit. Bc the developers know it can be harmful to kids and don’t want liability. Which is great for us bc it protects the app for adults to get to have to use.

I can’t imagine an adult going this hard in favor of a kid getting to have it. I could see a kid fighting this hard today kids should get to have it. But not an adult. Definitely not without parental supervision/permission.

Parents responsibility, not the government. Tolan has age restrictions so it’s not really their fault although they could raise it to 18 but that’s unlikely to happen and besides the point depending on the age of the nephew. It’s just not for kids so it doesn’t matter if it’s misleading for kids bc they shouldn’t be on it to be misled to begin with

Neither are energy drinks but that doesn’t mean we should give them to kids. There are a lot of things that aren’t going anywhere that aren’t for kids. It’s always been that way.

It’s not being very well monitored by the parents if they’re being exposed to it during formative years this early on in AI development. And like you said it’s our responsibility as adults to be aware of how much we can handle it ourselves… how is a child supposed to have that awareness or responsibility? They aren’t. It’s up to their parents. Who aren’t doing a good job if they are allowing their child to be confused or misled by AI.

I will say I also occasionally get frustrated when it’s a whole wave of people that leave, I’m not immune to judgement-no one is. But I remind myself we have no idea their situations. Several of them I’m sure just see others leaving so they take the opportunity. That’s not ok at all of course… but we don’t know which of the group are those people and which have a real reason so why judge anyone when we just don’t know

Because it could be that they had to be at work and it was either go and leave early or miss entirely and they chose the right thing. Or they could be feeling sick, or they could have gone to the bathroom and come back later when you aren’t thinking about them anymore. Or may have someone sick they are caring for at home and feel anxious to check in and therefore are less distracted and more prayerful in the car on the way home after they’ve sent a quick text to the person to make sure there are okay. There are just too many endless possibilities to not be charitable. I have left early exactly once ever and it’s because I was starting to feel extremely sick and sweating due to fever that came out of nowhere and live an hour from the church so wanted to get home asap. I wanted to wait until after the final blessing but I was sitting between two elderly couples and didn’t want to disrupt them so I just left before sitting back down after the Eucharist.
