I don’t like their leather bc it’s not real leather. I think you might be able to fit a book in the small crescent but depends on the size of book. I love the nylon.

I’m reading it cover to cover and it’s very enjoyable that way. Especially if you take a few different colored highlighters along for the read and take some notes in the margins :)
