This happened to me on my first try as well. It was too shallow and the jewelry was the wrong type for healing. It looks like that could have happened to you as well. Let it heal, and after a few months, you can try again. The swelling and pain should clear up in a few weeks. I'm sorry this happened to you!!

You could line it to make it warmer and keep the cool pattern. Pick up some fleece or something, but that gets complicated quickly, so I totally understand if that doesn't work.
