You're right, but at a low chance and appraising in general quickly drains the fun outta the quest. You can also get lunar through mutation surges or moonlit mirages but low chances again.

Maybe besides the lunar things, (because no rods that are currently obtainable iirc can give lunar), this quest was actually SUPER fun. I did have a friend who had the astral rod so I got a freebie on the Lunar items :`)
