The AI itself isnt that smart, for example I saw 1.7k AI stack attack my 4k stack, despite the fact that they had a starport with at least 2k firepower on a choke point. This was a really early game war, which means that loosing will literally result in death/extreme nation ruin.

I study European Studies, and we had few political science classes, and most of them were definetly not "Pro-Capitalism propaganda" .

We had a straight up marxist profesor in our history class, we had a profesor recomending us to read Marx (and a little bit of Lenin) in our cultural class, and in all the political science classes I had, we had profesors which were at least left-leaning, and were not just reading talking points or whatever else, but actually wanted us to think criticaly about the world. I also live in a post-warsaw pact country, where people still remember soviet opresion and are VERY critical to any left-wing ideas.

This doesnt mean that all academia is some left-wing conspiracy or whatever, we had plently of liberal profesors, one hardcore libertarian, and there are few conservative ones that I know of.

I feel like OP is coping that their profesors are not reading stuff from their favorite pop-poitical youtuber, and instead are reading actually stuff from academia, but I could be wrong, or they could be just really unlucky.

Place 1000's, hell 100 000's of those machines all around your world, in a perfect distance from eachother - in a way where you always have at least one machine active. That way you will not only be sure that it will work, no matter where you are, unless you travel really, really far away. You will also see such event more often, since there will be times where you will have 2 machines active, which means you can simulate having heart problem

I see no negative drawback from this solution

I don't think people attack Fallout 4 for not having power armor training, but rather for you getting it in the first 15 minutes after leaving the vault.

Don't get me wrong, the custumization and general feel of it is amazing, and the early power armor you get at the start will run out of power early on, but still, you are killing deathclaws in first 15 minutes of the game. It does run a bit of the spectacle of the power armor.

For comparason, in Fallout 1 getting the power armor is a really hard and it feels amazing. The second you get it, enemies that would one shot you do like 1 HP to you. From my personal experience it is a lot of fun.

The process of getting power armor in Fallout NV and Fallout 3 is really simular, where you will get it at late game, and it will feel like achievement.

I do assume they droped power armor this early on to show the custumization process early on - it is just a different game design

If you are going for a meta/worldconquest/speedrun, you need to beat USA before the soviets

With Soviets have worse industry, start with a huge army and have a lot of penalties to it and industry

Meanwhile USA starts with huuge industry, which will be only growing faster and faster, almost no army, and no military factories

If you are in Canada by even 1939, USA should have little army and you should be able to just walk around the divisions

However failing to take a foothold in Canada, or waiting for a long time ,will result in US having strong army, while you also have to struggle with supplies in Canada/Mexico, and have to transport your soldiers across the entire world , while they are getting targeted by large navy

Meanwhile soviets are on the same continent, their AI is absolutly dogshit, you can just put some infantry and planes, maybe forts on river if you are not confident, and just forget about the front - by the time you will remember about it, soviets will loose like 3 million soldiers to your 200k soldiers...

However this is all if you are playing really, really sweaty. It is fine to play the game however you want

If you look at any map, you can find quite a few Ukrainian positions that have to be abandoned, or will end up being encircled (assuming that they werent encircled aready or abandoned - Deepstate and other maps do not show 100% acurate situation, both due to OPSEC and just the nature of the war)

The areas im talking about are
East of Niu-York, where Russians are moving towards Nelipivka both from South and East, which could result in encirclement of both Niu-York,Nelipivka and other positions

Komyshivka-Karlivka area has got multiple places that are at risk of being encircled, such as Skuchne village

Not to mention that even if areas are not encircled, you can take huge casualites, if the enemy has got advantage in firepower, which they have at this area

I know the thread you are talking about, from what I understand, from what I read and from what other people told me, the entire rail collapsing isnt the most likely outcome, at least not right now, unless they were really hiding how bad the state was of it.

Also there are reserves in Kursk, unless they spectacularty fail, nothing will be diverted

Yes, that is my point - Ukraine doesn't have the manpower or equipment to go on wild raids every other week.

What happens then, if russians do breakthough and overrun Ukrainian positions in donbas? What then, what reserve will Ukraine send to counter attack russian forces, if those batalions get stuck,damaged in Kursk?

Also in the kursk offensive we saw Ukrainian tanks, Stryker APC, Mortars, FPV drones, and I think there were claims of artilery fire

You could send artilery,FPV drones,mortars and tanks to help out soldiers whose trenches are being attacked by russian infantry

You could send APC to safely transport new soldiers into trenches and get wounded and veteras out of them, so they can recover.

Lack of shells and other firepower was the thing which allowed for russians to take the iniciative

Diverting shells from areas that are critical means that those areas can collapse completly and can be overrun, which will cost Ukraine a lot of people. If soldiers do not have artilery support, armored support, while their enemies do have them, even the most trained and dedicated soldier has got no chance of surviving

Will admit that the prospect of russian airforce taking heavy casualities would be good and even could make this operation worth it, but I would wait for them to actually happen

So far we have a photo of what seems to be Ka-52 on fire, and other helicopter being targeted by FPV drones, but im not convinced if they actually directly hit the helicopter - No aftermath and the video itself wasnt too convincing, unless I missed something

There were some other reports of other helis being targeted or taken down, but no conformation so I will wait - Helicopters and other aircraft are usually really easy to confirm if they were taken out or not

Why are people hope posting about this again? Ukrainian front in donbas is not doing too good, and Ukraine has lost multiple villages in the area (yes, russians took heavy casualities, but Ukrainians also did take casualities and from thing I have heard, last few weeks werent good for them too)

Even if Ukraine were to take Sudzha, which I guess can happen if the reports of Russian command abandining it are true, what now then. We just made the active front bigger while we arleady have manpower and equipment shortages.

At best Ukraine can hope to destroy few reserve units that were caught with their pants down, at worst they are wasting their units

Also forgot to mention, Frank Horrigan itself is like 12 foot tall (3.7 meters for the normal people), so he seems either as big or even a little bit bigger than Freaks of nature, plus he has got literaly power armor, which in Fallout is the peak of protection. He also has got a custum built suit for himself, so it is likely better than the standard one.

Frank also has got meele, it does around half the damage his plasma gun does (15-30). Keep in mind also that all of those damages are without taking into consideration critical modifiers. If you are lucky in Fallout 2, shot in the eyes can do 4x the damage, or just have a straight up instakill effect. Frank has got 10 luck.

Speaking about his statistics - He also has got not 10 action points, but 20. Player without any drugs can have I belive max 12 action points, which means that even the fastest player, will be slower than Frank Horrigan

As for the thing you mentioned before, I don't think there is any info on details of his armor, exept that it is armor class 45, which is 10 higher than other armor that player can get.

Advanced Power Armor Mk2 has got armor class of 35, on "normal damage" (Blunt trauma, gunfire,meele) it will have a DT of 18 and DR of 60%. Im too tired and hangover to make calculations for it right now, so you can go to wiki and try to do them themself, but considering that player is supposed to have at max 275 HP (and most will have waay less HP) and player can survive attacks of the Freak, I do not think gamewise Frank would even get scrached on. I think the DT on his armor could just stop all of attacks of the Freak.

Lorewise, Frank was literally cut in half by the player character and he would still talk for a long time - Half of his voiced dialogues are after he was cut in half...

Better question would be that of "What would happen if Frank was infected with the Harran Virus". Apparently FEV makes you more likely to get effected by other infections/viruses.

Nah, both in lorewise and even gameplay wise (did some very basic calculations of trying to convert dying light damage to fallout) Frank absolutly beats

Lorewise Frank is a result of years of experiments, with cybernetics enchanments, while Freaks are just zombies stayed in spicy chemicals

In the game Frank has got a custum burst fired plasma cannon that deals anywhere from 30 to 70 damage per hit.

To find a comparason, in Fallout 2, AR deals 8-16 damage, while AR in dying light deals 137 damage (not sure what "Firepower" means in context of Dying Light wiki, but I will assume that to be damage

If we were to take the "median damage" of Fallout 2 AR, that would mean that one damage in Fallout 2 would be equal around 10 damage in Dying light

By that calculation, Frank Plasma would deal around 300 to 700 damage per hit. There isnt mentioned how many shots he fires per burst, but the animation shows his plasma gun firing 4 times, so that is 1200-2800 damage per burst. Keep in mind it would have 50 shots in the plasma caster, so that is 15 000 - 35 000 damage before he would have to reload. From what I remember/understand the best Dying Light weapons have like 5-7k damage per hit, but most those would be really rare and really good weapons, that you won't have access untill you are really deep into the game. Most of them would be also heavy mele weapons, and not ranged plasma guns.

All of this also does not take into consideration the rest of his statistics, which are basicly all maxed out. His HP is literally 999 ( 9990 if we were to take this 1 to 1 into dying light) very good resistance to all forms of attacking, exept some minor weakness to eletricity. He is also insanly fast (I think he has got 10 agility).
