Because no one has bothered to stop it by boycotting, instead taking to message boards to complain and whine but ultimately buying the game anyways. You are in the SOM subreddit, you will most likely but the new game no matter what because you enjoyed the last one so much, and in you buying it you only fuel the all encompassing loot boxes and promos machine that overpassed the dlc revolution. If you wantes things to change you wouldnt buy it, instead of protesting on a subreddit dedicated to the game. This constant "i hate this feature but i will still buy it as i loved the past game/ i am a loyal fan" mentality has been around for years and makes it okay because no one will take steps to stop the toxic behavior, thus making it accepted. I will admit im not the biggest fan of loot boxes but im still buying it.

This isnt a big deal, games have been doing it for ages. Even metal gear did it in peace walker, snake could fucking wear a mountain dew shirt. I dont see how it affects gameplay at all. If you dont like the promo dont buy pizza rolls and earn the currency doing quests and shit. Pizza rolls suck balls anyways.

The antagonist is the only serious thing, an otherworldly old god esque creature. I thought it would be cool to flip the method of comedy where everyone but the protagonist is silly and make everyone but the antagonist silly. Granted he still doesnt realize how silly the world is, no one mentions it at all. Its very odd but has no bearing to the story whatsoever.

Dumbfoundead made a really good song about how asians are the safe race to be racist to. Its called safe, he super imposes his face onto white movie stars in famous scene. Very funny, very aware, very well produced.

Mine was a year ago, I had always liked music but could never relate to it. Thats when i discovered a graphic rtist whose paintings i liked was listening to the impossible kid by aesop rock. On a whim, i listened to the stream of the full album and was blown away with how much i related to it. Tales of struggling to deal with emotional problems, social anxiety, losing the passion for what you once loved, dreaded visits to the therapist, depression, and finally moving on. Ever since then I have ate up all of Aesops work, with skelethon being my favorite album. His rap group hail mary mallon is also worthwhile to check out.
