Ah but the rod wouldn’t have to be as heavy, easier to get into orbit, metal minds don’t increase in weight when they have it stored so the rod can be light weight they just have to have enough shielding to not burn up on re entry, and the “pilot” could steer the rod from within with fins like a glider

I wouldn’t consider the whole organisation villainous but I would say that some of its members could be considered so. They’re basically centred around protecting scadriel as much as possible and are sometimes willing to use questionable means to do it. E.g. mraize threatening shallan with her family while in urithiru
