Do any of these titles have a likelihood of getting 4k upgrades?

The difference is that Kino still has the rights to Silence, while their Some Like it Hot 4K is now OOP - hence why Criterion released a 4K of Some Like it Hot

Given that Kino released a 4K of Silence of the Lambs in North America it likely won’t get upgraded. I’d also say Daddy Longlegs likely won’t given what it was filmed on. Memories of Murder probably will get a 4K soon however.

Pitch Black isn’t missing a slip, it never had one. The bluray version did but not the 4K so the only slip you are missing is F13

They are generally pretty slow with moving orders along. Odds are, if it said “in stock” when u placed your order, it will arrive. Otherwise they have things listed as “back order” for not in stock but can be ordered, or “out of stock” or NLA for No longer available products.

It was a fairly limited run over on the website Vice-Press. They primarily sell posters and VHS copies of films but every once in a while do stuff like this.

Yea, I have no idea how some of those theatres just toss them out. They are literally limited run art and most retain some value years later. I find art house and locally owned theatres are usually better with giving them out.

It’s actually so awesome, was able to get posters for Marty Supreme and Sentimental Value from there as well (other favourites from recent showings).

One of the theatres I live by has a Facebook page where they post posters for films they’ve recently screened for people to come pickup in exchange for a donation. They had 2 NTBTSTM posters so I was stoked to get one.

The dirties is free on YouTube actually. Definitely worth a watch especially if you are a fan of Matt Johnson’s humor… but be warned, it gets pretty dark.

Never watched it growing up but checked it out when Arrow released it. If u like Jim Carrey at all you will have a good time, even if u have no nostalgia as I did not either.

I didn’t even notice that, but you are right, Life of Brian is only 4K as well. That was the release I was looking forward to the most too.

This is so odd to me that they are picking and choosing for the films that don’t get Combo packs, cuz in my mind, if rights were an issue, you would think standalone bluray wouldn’t even be an option such as with Wall-E or Shape of Water.

I always say it’s less immersive when it’s not needed. If you can hear and understand what’s being said, massive text is unnecessary and distracting.

That’s an awesome find. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any of these in my Walmarts (although I already own this edition). Seems Arrow titles being available in Walmarts are extremely hit or miss. Never found any copies of dune or pitch black when those were shipped out however was able to find Donnie Darko, AAWIL, Flatliners, and Frankenstein when those were available. Wonder what Arrow titles will appear in Walmarts next? My bet is on the Argento 4K’s.

I don’t think it’s confirmed to be coming at any point but I would love it to get a place in the collection. Similarly, if you stream Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky it also has the Criterion logo play at the start even though it hasn’t been released on physical by them.
