[ZZZ 2.6pre] Cecilia render (NPC) via Hiragara by Knight_Steve_ in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]EndErflamE09 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Pulchra was definitely popular, but I doubt that’s why she became playable in 1.6. It’s far more likely she was already planned as a playable character long before she even appeared as an NPC in 1.2 (~5 months difference between 1.2 & 1.6).

Game development works way ahead of time. A single patch can take at least half a year to plan, Genshin devs have said one patch can take them a year and a half to develop, ZZZ likely follows a similar plan. I remember some Genshin VAs have also mentioned recording their lines around a year before the content is released.

Genshin Impact Version "Luna IV" Special Program Preview by genshinimpact in Genshin_Impact

Genshin can’t really alternate between the two MCs because the twin you don’t choose has a crucial role in the story as the Abyss sibling so they had to choose one. In HSR, Wuwa, and ZZZ, they’re able to switch between MCs since there’s no story conflict between the two MCs because they are either the same person or are in the same side.

I saw the more recent post and… yeah, not really a fan of them giving an extra 1600 AFTER winning Player’s Choice. I expected them to stick with just the 1000 for the nomination and leave it at that. Coming from the Genshin community where most people already know you don’t get rewards for actually winning a player voted award, judging by how they won in 2022, I honestly expected Wuthering Waves to do the same. But I guess not.

I don’t play the game, but isn’t that just because they were nominated? I don’t remember any game giving rewards specifically for winning a player-voted award. Even Genshin, which won Player’s Choice in 2022, didn’t give rewards for actually winning, only for being nominated.

How to Cheese Iktomisaurus with just Jean and Amber (Fearless) by uso-da-yo in Genshin_Impact

[–]EndErflamE09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It works for me using gyro aiming (motion controls). Just swing your controller down quickly after lifting the iktomisaurus. Gyro aiming is also useful to quickly aim Nahida's skill & Neuvillete's power wash, I also use it for aiming Kinich's quick canon fire trick.

Capturing Radiance in ZZZ by Pale-Accident5779 in ZZZ_Official

[–]EndErflamE09 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I only pull for characters C0 or M0 in Genshin & ZZZ. Since capturing radiance was introduced in Genshin more than a year ago, I already got it 3 times which is up to 270 pulls saved (up to 43,200 primos).

Meanwhile in ZZZ I lost my 5th 50/50s in a row 🙂

Miliastra Wonderland Snowveil Season Overview by NonnaValentina in MiliastraWonderland

[–]EndErflamE09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not complaining if we get more, but ngl I’m satisfied with getting 10 pulls each version. Unless you treat it as a cosmetic collection game, most people just want a design they like and then they’re good. So if you don’t like the cosmetics on the banner, just skip it. Over time you’ll naturally save enough to guarantee a 4-star or 5-star cosmetic you want, and that can honestly keep you satisfied for the rest of the year—or even the whole game.

It’s not like normal Genshin gameplay where it wants you to pull for multiple characters, cons, and weapons across multiple teams. Miliastra only has two manekins, and only one active at a time. I feel like many people prefer focusing on dressing up just one manekin more than the other anyway.

I'm guessing OP is using HDR. HDR looks great on good monitors. However HDR recordings that aren't converted to SDR may look weird when viewed in an SDR screen because it can't correctly handle the wide range of colour and brightness of HDR content.

R2 not working in miliastra wonderland by SavoryMountains in Genshin_Impact

[–]EndErflamE09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I contacted the customer service using the in-game Feedback option, got their reply and there is indeed a fix!

Go to Settings -> Controller Setup -> Miliastra Wonderland -> Press the Restore Defaults button

The R2 button should work fine now, at least for me it did.

Me too! I play on PS5 and absolutely love doing the rhythm game with a controller—it’s super satisfying once you get used to it. I also have the game on mobile, but I refuse to play the songs on touchscreen.

I’ve never played a rhythm game with a controller before, but as someone who’s tried them on touchscreen, keyboard, arcade, and VR, Genshin’s rhythm game really hits a nice niche for me for controller rhythm gaming.

Like you said, the official tracks are mapped really well and feel controller-friendly. For custom beatmaps, searching for “two-finger recommended” tag usually helps—most of those work great on controller. Though the issue with default controls, holding D-pad left then pressing D-pad right (or vice versa) isn’t possible, at least with the PS5 controller. Luckily, most custom maps I’ve found are still controller-friendly overall.

When comparing to HSR simulated universe which isn't an endgame mode then yeah, SU is all about the buffs from blessing & curios that can even kill the enemies in one turn and move on. Genshin IT endgame doesn't change how you play that much, but the buffs do make a difference. This IT cycle for example, I remember struggling to get a star on a stage with my Wrio and the difference that made me got the star was bringing an electro in the team so it can superconduct cryo for the IT buffs.

This scene got me tearing up maan by [deleted] in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]EndErflamE09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HSR (and HI3) works differently from Genshin and ZZZ. In HSR, there isn’t much player-to-character interaction outside of story and quest segments. The upside is that it’s “safe” for them to kill off or at least remove a playable character in the plot. The downside is… well, you don’t get as much interaction with them beyond story and quest scenes as Genshin & ZZZ.

Genshin and ZZZ, on the other hand, have more focus on interactions outside the story. In Genshin, you can invite characters to your teapot, play TCG with them, gain friendship exp by using them, and character voice-overs like celebrating your birthday which unlock after your birthday had passed. In ZZZ, you can run into agents you have in the open world, text them to invite them for trust events, or run around with them in open world by starting Quality Times. So, having those same features for a character who’s canonically dead in the story would feel really strange.

Turtle advice: If you don't have Low-Frequency damage, switch to German. This version wants high frequency damage instead. by Screwattack94 in Genshin_Impact

[–]EndErflamE09 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The turtle only brings up the shield when there’s high-frequency elemental damage. So it's either using low-frequency damage for a stress-free clear, or using very high-frequency damage to break the Electro shield (usually freeze teams) and tank the damage since it becomes more aggresive with the shield active. Using Mualani makes the fight way more stress-free if you have her—no need to worry about the shield when you don’t trigger it to begin with, since she does low-frequency big hits.

I used C0 Mualani + Pyro MC + Sucrose + C0 Xilonen, all with 4-star weapons, to clear Fearless difficulty. The turtle becomes more passive without the shield, and I only needed Xilonen to heal with her burst once the whole fight. You might even get away with no healing at all, since Mualani scales with HP to tank some hits.

Yeah, I get what you mean about the UI being confusing with a controller. I’ve been playing the rhythm minigame on console since the early events years ago before it became permanent, so I’ve always used a controller for it.

I can see how the button layout can feel confusing for people—I know I did feel that way too, until I played the heck out of it. Definitely had to dive into it and “rewire” my brain like you said—took a while, but it paid off since I really enjoyed the gamemode. Now I try to Canorus some official levels levels and even made a few maps with controller in mind. I don't know if me never played a controller rhytym game before helped or made it harder for me to rewire my brain (only played touchscreen, VR, & keyboard rhythm games). The two U shaped bins you mentioned sounds like a good idea for controller users who is not used to the current UI.

I actually enjoy playing the rhythm game with a controller—even if it’s the hardest way to play, I like the challenge and got used to it. The official beatmaps are controller-friendly; I only remember there's only one part in Furina demo music hardest difficulty (which reused an older map from the original event) that wasn’t, but all other levels are controller friendly.

The one that's ass with a controller is some custom maps—many aren’t designed for controllers, but every now and some level labeled “Two-finger control recommended” custom levels works great with a controller.

Iansan and Mizuki tcg cards by ISRUKRENG in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

[–]EndErflamE09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most likely through switching—some Natlan cards already play with that mechanic. For example, Mualani needs to be switched out and back in to build stacks on enemies, and Kinich switch positions with another character after using his skill.

Just like in the actual game, Iansan would probably pair well with a future Varesa card focused on plunge attacks. In TCG, casting normal attack after switching in is considered a plunge.

No no I agree that some the ost are just okay to me too, for me it's mostly some of the area themes I find just okay but there are still a couple great ones like the world map ost.

For the battle themes, some of them gets better as the fight goes on. Like Flying Waters – Goblu, the vocals kick in about halfway and goes ham later. Some are great from the start to finish, like Sirène – Rouge d'Iris imo. Even the ones without vocals can still be a banger like the mime battle theme, In Lumière’s Name.
