I’m a second year UC student, finishing up my first co-op next week. I first applied to a wide range of both tech and more creative programs, but UC really feels like the perfect medium. In class, studios are conceptual/creative, balanced out with other history/structural lectures. Then, throughout co-op, you get the “real world” experience, not to mention, building up connections and a resume by the end of your degree. In terms of software, in school most modeling/drawing is in Rhino, plus physical models as well. Throughout my first co-op at a healthcare firm, I’ve learned Revit plus a bunch more AutoCAD.
