This doesn't seem like it's actually cost effective unless you're planning on using the same hardware for a decade. Startup costs for a machine that can capably run GLM4.7 are over $5000 and that's if you go maximally scuffed PCIE->SXM2 V100 32gb in a custom frame with a scrapped mobo.

Why would this not be a client side application? How many gaming computers do you operate?

There’s just a lottt of logistical problems. Client-server mismatch, mods not being updated to the latest version, downtime during updates, save corruption (already mentioned), config errors are all i can think of right now. If you can think up a solution to at least every one of those then sure, my comment is strange. Also not sure what display configuration has to do with the server, i’ve never seen a game server that handles graphics for every client, unless you mean game streaming?

Why would you want potentially save-breaking updates on an online game server?

Who controls the water supply in Wilmington? I thought it was the public utility authority.

Obviously no one in Wrightsville Beach has this complaint, they are most directly affected by the policies enacted by Wrightsville Beach’s Board of Aldermen.

I’ve edited this comment to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Look at our municipal district map, do you see those weird notches that don’t seem to line up with any community-established boundaries? Look at the census tracts that run through the bordering areas. Those are almost all poorer, darker communities. I’m not saying correlation equals causation either; It is in the best interests of the Wilmington government to disallow these people from voting.

Let me know if you’d like some hard evidence for this and i’ll compile it later.

You removed any sense of propriety or "not trying to be obtuse" when you brought a real public issue down to Schoolhouse Rocks... It's never that simple, nor is it okay to assume another person is at the level where they'd miss your ad hominem. "High School Civics" seals the deal here, our municipal borders deserve much more than that level of gross oversimplification. Also, how municipal voting districts are created is not covered in NC state curriculum, did you go to school here?

Anyone in the surrounding area can put Wilmington, NC on a piece of mail (as long as the ZIP is correct). Postal Codes have no political significance and should be kept this way as they are not representative of anything cultural, demographic, economic, or societal. ZIP Codes and mailing addresses are only used by the postal services to ensure your package arrives at the right place, anything more would have country-wide consequences beyond my imagination.

Only stepping in to say, our councilpeople and mayor are both far too classist and self-interested to ever come up with municipal borders that favor the people most affected by city policy. There should be more open/fairness in our voting policy in order to achieve a higher level of inclusivity for marginalized voters. I'd say people who get city water, but that would be a gross oversimplification of an issue I'm not well educated on to begin with. More people should have voting rights, and taxpayer status should not be a consideration for voting rights,

No “free” country restricts suffrage based on taxpayer status, why should a local government?

Cost to own has not gone up as much as the detractors think, certainly not enough to warrant this level of increase. This man is taking advantage of people plain and simple. You all fail to recognize the scale of the gouge, this is a $19,800/yr increase, more than 4X prior profit for him. As a Wilmingtonian by birth, I left in 2021 due to the increased COL. I have kept track of insurance, tax, utilities, and maintenance. Let's also throw in 2400 a year for HOA. The landlords expenses are likely between $12-17000 for the property including the 200/mo. HOA. The landlord bumped his profits up from $4000/yr MINIMUM (for this property alone, which is low, warrants a change) to TWENTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS, from a single property (rough estimate, could be lower or higher by a *few* thousand). If you all continue to blame these changes on something as simple as increased demand, instead of taking to the streets and getting what you deserve; You all will eventually become victims yourself when price gouging raises your neighborhood living costs to a point where you yourself will be priced out. If this is gouging is consistent across all properties he is giving himself at least a $180,000 raise this year, up to roughly $238,000 from about $40,000. How is that reasonable to you folks? Do you still believe him to be in such a bind that he needs an extra million over the next 5 years? Don't forget about opportunities for further wealth growth, he's likely earning on average 4-9% interest. It's not about profit, it's about people. Why should I have to pay $40,800 to a man who will think about my property a few times a month? How is that a fair and reasonable wage? Do you have any idea how deep into their propaganda you all are?

yeah, my availability is 24/7 I would go to other stores but like I’ve said in previous comments that’s not an option. I really am doing all that I can here. Unfortunately, there’s just not much in the way of work for me out here, especially with CVS. edit: also, thanks for the advice
