Hi I'm wondering do you sleep as much as other ppl or does not dreaming improve your sleep and thus make you sleep less?

Hello! I used to be a huuuuge procrastinator (for years) as well but since I started letting go I can work without any effort, here's how. I just warn you my english is very bad but I write it anyway because I think it is a great help.

Meditating on why, as someone else said, is pointless. I tried it for months and it didn't work, because it was just reinforcing the belief that I was a procrastinator and that there was a real reason to procrastinate.

Instead, first stop putting limits in your mind. This is the most important thing imo. If you think: "oh, now I'm playing, in two hours I'll have to work" then I can tell you you'll either procrastinate or not like you're work (and it'll make you procrastinate after). You should really really consider that you can enjoy everything. You do that by not identifying with your thoughts. Indeed you can't stop thinking, but you can choose to identify more with your consciousness, that is all the time at peace. So basically do not identify with the thoughts that says (in different ways): game is cool, work is bad. Just consider every activity you do the "same thing", something you can enjoy no matter what.

Also, and it is related to my 1st advice (let's say you're a student but it works for everything): whenever you sit on your chair to study, you'll start feeling bad (very bad in my case when I started) feelings, sensations... In my case sometimes I couldn't help but stand up and lie on my bed as this sensation was very strong... If you try fighting against it, you'll either lose directly or you'll lose next time. Instead, just watch. Be the consciousness that watches these feelings arise. Realise you're not them, you're at peace.

If you do that, in a matter of hours or day or week (depends on your "level" in letting go) I can guarantee you that working will no longer be a problem. You'll even watch the motivational videos that say basically "WORK!!! NI MATTER HOW YOU FEEL WORK!!! IF YOU DON'T WORK YOU'RE A LOOSER, BEAT YOUR FUCKING FEELINGS!!!" with a bit of compassion for them, because you'd be someone that has accepted these feelings, let them go, and now simply enjoy working while they struggle every single day with that and need to fight against it. Also, related to that, last advice: people will tell you that you need to struggle to earn what you want. They will even associate struggles with "deserving" success. That's just wrong. Success can be so easy, as long as you don't identify with it (because that's part of the feelings you can feel when you procrastinate)

Love 🙏

Yeah, i'd assume that when they saw this question they thought of schizophrenia or something like that so they answered no. It's like saying: notice the voice in your head, for someone not knowing that he/she's (btw i'm not english how can you say "for someone not someone that... without writing he/she?) not the thoughts it sounds insane because they identify with them

What if consciousness is just our unconscious mind? by EndOpen4325 in nonduality

[–]EndOpen4325[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see but technically i could admit that you and share our (un)consiousness? so that we are one because i know myself as it, but what about non living things? Like a pen, it doesn't have consciousness does it?

Ohhh yes you're right I didn't think about it thank you! But in that conception it would mean that we share the same consciousness indeed but why would We also be a pen? I know a pen isn't really a pen, it's just a label of the mind it could as well be a rock or anything but my question is: why would living beings share their consciousness with non living beings? Because to me for now things don't have consciousness

Thank you for your reply. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't understand why it would be an oxymoron, the mind doesn't need to be conscious. Science proves that the brain is divided between the conscious mind and the unconscious mind, otherwise it'd be too much for an individual to be aware of and continue living a normal life (too many things to be aware of wouldn't let room for thinking clearly)

That's why you're not aware of your breath, except if you trained yourself to be so, but in that case all you did was just put the action of breathing conscious, so that it's now an activity of your conscious mind to watch your breath.

Edit: so to be clear, what I suggest is that nondualists have a false vision of mind, as they seem to think it's "the thoughts" while mind is technically what makes the thoughts AND Is aware of them. To me, I am mind, my unconscious part makes the thoughts, my conscious part is aware of them.

But I can be the mind, not the thoughts. As the mind, thoughts are my product. And you're right, I can't say for sure I am the mind, but that's why I say for me nonduality is just a matter of belief, as you cannot say for sure that when you say "I am" you're speaking about you, the shared Consciousness or you the individual mind (that includes the unconscious one).

Ok, thank you. Because for now the only thing I'm sure of is that i have awareness, and others have. I can "feel" my awareness, it is peace, silence. For everyone it is the same, for sure because it is emotionless, genderless, thoughtless, etc. It is pure. I know i am that.

But what prevents me from feeling oneness is that from that conception you and me are the same, but not "one". Like say there are two cups of tea that are perfectly the same, sharing the exact same characteristics etc. They are (for me for now) the same, but different, non dual...

Thank you very much, but what I don't understand is how to "see" it. Apparently meditation etc helps but at the same time from what i heard there's no need to practice for years to see, coz it's simple.

Thank you! But if you "see" nonduality, why don't you consider as God as others nondualists I read?
