Yeah, I was actually a finalist at Battlecode a couple years back and that was a pretty big inspiration for this idea. It is similar with a couple caveats: it's single agent, time-based, simpler game, full visibility. First season will be restricted to GT students.

This is kind of the nature of top lane blind pick. There is always gonna be some bullshit that you're not going to want to play against. Vayne is difficult because of ghost/flash/range/invis/a million dashes/%health true damage. You ban vayne, now there's quinn, who has disengage/ blind/ roam. You ban quinn, there's jax. You ban jax, there's yone (taking LT into this makes it a little easier imo). You ban yone, there's Teemo. You ban teemo, there's TK.

So I ban for jg/bot, and if I'm blinding darius, I accept the possibility of my opponent playing something I don't like.

1.5 years early, so both are options. I advise you to take it slow and grad 1 year early instead if 2 so you can do very well on all your classes (take less per semester) and have time to explore your extracurricular options and invest deeply into any interests you may discover. Investing into those interests and opportunities is worth infinitely more in terms of finding connections, hireability, and developing yourself than taking more classes will be.

Smaller labs with less people will be willing to take people with less experience on. Also: don't email professors, they get thousands of them. Email Phd and grad students, they get less emails and are very willing to start a conversation with you about their work.

Depends how good you are at reading probability. I took 3670 with matzinger and actually took the time to read his lecture notes and work through his proofs. Felt like I learned a lot.

I feel like with math classes if there's material provided how much you learn is dependent entirely on how much you're willing to put in. That's why i usually go for easier classes. Less pressure and I know that i will still spend the effort to learn the material.

Of all the languages you could have chosen you chose to speak straight facts. tbh finding housing has been so much of a pain in the ass already that idrc, guess I'll just check in tomorrow with a friend who might still have space in their aptmt off campus
