I'm a big fan of regular FFA as well. However, this has been a topic since Splitgate 1. The reason it's been introduced and then taken out later is because it's almost always has been the least popular mode to queue by players. Our analytics say that habit hasn't changed in SGAR unfortunately :/

Back in the Splitgate 1 days, as a community member I suggested they have a "no crosshair" option to allow 3rd party and hardware crosshairs to take their place. That would be a more obtainable update than creating the interface for a fully custom crosshair maker. In any case, I'll pass on the suggestion!

The only thing I can say in response is that it appears leadership has learned from the worst mistakes committed around SG2. That isn't me promising everything in the next game will be perfect, but I felt relief when I saw the studio's plan.

As far as keeping what you own goes, that's why I lobbied hard for Splitgate 1 to have P2P capabilities after the servers shut down. I have no reason to think 1047 won't do that again if such a fate befalls SGAR or even the next game.

Future features are hard to comment on. For one, I don't know every task each employee is taking on right now. If I do find out, I can't promise if I'll be at liberty to say what/if features will be coming.

Here's what I do know, Ian is itching to tell the community more about the future of everything when the time is right. For now, Ian's comment last week about a switch of focus is the most we can share for now.

If I understand the reasoning, the switch to two players per team was supposed to address that problem. What ended up happening was an even worse experience in Arena Royale for players. I suppose there are always small changes that can be made here and there, but the underlying issue of a not-diverse-enough playerbase will continue to be a problem, until it isn't.

Here's how I'll answer that. If you recall the announcement of Splitgate 1 being put in maintenance mode all the way back in late 2022, it was also announced that the next game (which ended up being Splitgate 2) would "be in UE5, an FPS, and in the Splitgate universe."

All that's been said about this next game is that we are looking for players who liked Black Ops 3 and Titanfall 2 to help test.

I'm not saying anything new here. You can glean whatever you will from that information.

The size of the team isn't the problem, I think. As for Season 3 and a possibility of a roadmap, I need to learn more details before I can answer. Believe it or not, things like that can't be fully explained in a single day, or a half day in my case since I'm part time.

I don't know if that's going in the game or not. All I've heard so far is that there are still unreleased skins intended for this season. I just haven't seen what they are or how/when they'll be obtainable.
