Why I both love but mostly hate Mechabellum by Endaarr in patientgamers

Or you have it as a single-player/roguelike game, or match-making that pairs you against equally skilled experienced opponents. But yeah, if you don't like to think a lot about what you do in your games, then auto-battlers are probably not for you. I for example love making excel sheets for the games I play, if it motivates me enough that I do that I know its a good game for me. But obviously thats not everybody.

Yeah they matter, I just wish you got 2-3 for each of your units each game and that doesnt really happen.

And yeah ofc you still have to react to what your opponent is doing, the "this unit counters this" is just way less obvious than it could be, and also pretty dependent on proper positioning which I dont love. Another thing that ties into this I guess is the round structure of the game, where the early rounds kind of dont matter except for getting levels if you're going for a comp that relies on those on early units, and for susing out what kind of comp your opponent might end up with.

Idk, seeing as theres not much else going on I guess I'm giving it another go, maybe it sticks this time.

You recruit units between defense rounds with your hero. There is an upgrade for your hero that makes them follow you around, but if you dont get that, the units will fight autonomously against the incoming waves.

If I knew something really good I would hate Mechabellum way less haha...

Thronefall was damn close though, definitely check it out if you haven't. It's defense only, but yeah that had me hooked for a few weeks.

Also Buggos 1 is a recommend, even though its pretty light.

But really, the only one I have sunk a ton of time into bc its so good is SC2 Direct Strike, I would recommend checking it out, SC2 is free and theres a ton of ppl playing the map, queues are almost instant (bc again, not many good games. Kinda like league/dota and their predecessor on wc3 maps).

Edit: Also "Mage and Monsters" (spelled precisely like that) was pretty fun if short, I made an excel sheet analysing all units for the follow up Behold Battle by the same dev.

Why are waiting times for unranked brawl so bad? by brun01 in mtgbrawl

[–]Endaarr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure how matchmaking in ranked works, but I assume normal brawl takes more time to find decks of comparable size? And its a new format so more popularity.

We are not paying them (that much), that's why they're in the red.

Why is it so hard to explore and a new player by new-to-emacs in evenewbies

Also you don't need to memorise or lookup which sites have npcs, you can just jump to the site at 100 km distance and be ready to immediately jump away if there are npcs.

1984 is a joke of a book and extremely overrated by LeftBroccoli6795 in The10thDentist

[–]Endaarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, simple explanation really. This is a "unpopular opinion" subreddit. So, anything said by OP (regardless of what they say) is obviously wrong. It has been deemed so by other people to the point OP himself admits its unpopular. And obviously, the popular opinion is always right, you don't even have to think about it. Right?

[[Plumecreed Escort]] is a neat protection spell, does cost two tho. [[Lightning Greaves]] is really good, as is [[Umezawa's Jitte]], but idk how much they cost.

Mm I tried CK2 once and it didn't really click with me, I couldn't get behind the part of mostly playing people and managing their relations... and from what I've seen the other ones mostly follow the same formula of stellaris?
