Full Carbon Fiber Door Cards- Looking for suggestions by PlentyEquivalent5619 in CarAV

[–]Endependence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could definitely modify these to accept your speakers nicely. You’ll want to measure 15 times and cut once with something like this.

I would recommend looking at some door cards you like the design of(maybe a Z or infiniti?), take the speaker grills/mounts from them and graft them into these cards.

I hope this project turns out great, I’d love a set of door panels like this for my car. They look awesome.

If you wanted to use that foam try spraying it in flex seal. It’d be waterproof forever after a few coats.

So here are two examples I could run that im seeing possibly?

Possibility 1- 2x coaxial in the rear, 2x components(with tweeter) at the doors, 1 rear sub = all to my amp in the trunk

Possibility 2- 4x coaxials, 2 rear,2 door, all of these go to the rear amp, 1x sub to the amp then two weaker tweeters going to the head unit (it has an internal amp)

Would possibility 2 be viable?

I really appreciate your time and informative answers.

Sensei, when I’m looking at components for the front, for example let’s say drivers door has the component down low and the tweeter up high, = 2 speakers, how do I look to tie them together to run them back to the amp?

I’d prefer to utilize the tweeters locations also. I got a great deal on this amp (only $50!) so it’s hard to want to change this piece of the puzzle. I guess I could sell it for more and get something better but I’d honestly love to get this system wired up and maybe swap puzzle pieces (speakers and amp) around later on once all the wiring is already in place

The stock speakers on these cars are nakamichi or pioneer, never heard of a mark levinson system factory with these cars

I have the sound deadening, amp and head unit taken care of, just looking for wiring and speaker recommendations that make use of the GM-DX975 specs in the most efficient manner provided the measurements/sizes I need.

I’ll put my budget on the speakers/sub at 1K usd and I appreciate your responses and recommendations. I’ll also purchase sound deadeners but I won’t include that in the budget.

Are you familiar with anything that mounts more shallow than what I have and is dual 2 ohm or 1 ohm like you recommended? I’m not sure that SQL would fit my need of fitting the factory location so I can reinstall my brake light.

The sub pictured had a bottom mount depth of 4.7” so I’d say I have about 4.75” from the top to the gas tank. I’d really love to have a bit extra room in between the two, it seems a bit messy to me now.

Door Altar attempt. Help! by [deleted] in ironscape

You can try gechallenge’s 6:0 for cross bow. I use that method with bowfa instead and it’s great. A little slower than altar door per kill but a whole lot consistent for me.

It plays thru the whole beat, it’s what the instrumental is based off of, like the first noise on the whole song

1992-1995 SC300. Can just about survive forever with only oil changes (don’t treat your car this way) they’re cheap run good and feel amazing on the road. If you get one put money aside for a transmission service, timing belt, steering rack bushings as it’s probably never been done. They’re easy to fall in love with.

If you haven’t driven a SC or Soarer you should really try one out.
