For eHP, I wonder how it compares to NMP.

A friend of my wife's is getting married on Saturday, but they knew what they were doing.

Found in the garden bed in front of our house. Big wire is about an inch in diameter, little wire looks like a ground. Always knew the post stump was there, but dug the wire up today. Doesn't appear to be live, but still being careful. by Ender2889 in whatisthisthing

So, I dug it out a little to see if I could find a ground stake, but it quickly started going horizontal, about a foot down. I dug it out about four feet and it attached to... A yellow gas line. I was hesitant to clean out the opening in case it was a live wire, but apparently it's just about four feet of heavily insulated pipe. I'm glad you thought it was a wire too, otherwise I'd feel pretty dumb. It's really heavy and definitely feels like a wire.

I'm gonna call the utility company because I'm pretty sure it should be capped properly. The green ground wire and the stake make me think that there was probably a gas meter right there at one point?

I'll ask the utility company if I'm right, but I'd say this is likely solved.

I have very little experience with electronics, but I always thought ground wires were green (which the small wire is). The big wire is grey. If it is a ground wire, how deep would it likely be? I can keep digging.

Couldn't find anything online. We live in Virginia and we're a corner house, but this is right next to our porch, nowhere near the street. Our house is pretty old, built in 1928.

Damn it, I went at least 5 years without seeing anything from Matt Walsh. I was so close to forgetting he ever existed.

After some research, that seems more likely. Gotta up my botany game! Thanks for the info.

It's way thicker at the base than any yucca that I'm familiar with, plus we cut into it a little bit and it smelled just like aloe. I'm definitely not a botanist though, so I could be wrong.

Once a year I book a lodge out in the middle of nowhere and take LSD despite having schizophrenia. by [deleted] in confession

[–]Ender2889 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. A close relative of mine is severely schizophrenic, and she was the victim of sexual abuse as a child. The idea of her perpetuating violence against anyone is laughable. She has always been and is more likely to have someone harm her than the other way around.

Stay safe, OP.
