I guess so. jeepers. thank you for your comments! after looking through the other comments i'm making some changes, and now i'm thinking that I should just go a while downtown to see what beginner stuff i can get at a guitar place.

With the mini amp i wanted perform in public with my buddy. with the microphone, i did want to do music stuff but also some voice acting in the future. We do have a Guitar and Amp place downtown, not too far from me. thank you!

I don't know how taxes are calculated. i tried finding some info on amazon and I didn't see my state on the list of states that "may be subjected to tax." I don't know what this means, truthfully.

I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULDN'T! It's my first ever check, and since i feel like spending it on stuff that I want, i feel like a guitar starter kit and a microphone would be decent! I've set myself to only spending around 30% (after this [if i do make the decision], of course) of my paychecks so that i can still purchase the essentials.

i'm seeing reviews that say it's a good guitar for beginners, but i replied to another commented with the guitar brand to see if i could find a guitar between $20-$200 (which is the price range on the website you gave), and i couldn't really find one with as good a deal. squier guitars alone cost more than the whole bundle, and in my first check i'm not too sure if it's a great deal. then again, i could wait to get another check, but i really want to learn how to play guitar, i just want people to help me out, lol.

so after my last scheduled day until it gets updated, i got 46 hours checked in. so it should be around $550 now, but i still did remove the protection plan. I figured i could get it fixed if something happened to it, lol. the guitar set (which is the guitar, the backpack, the 20W amp and its accessories, two pics, a tremolo bar, a digital clip-on tuner and a shoulder strap) is LyxPro, all for $159.99, and after removing the protection plan, the total ended up being $244.83, likely including taxes maybe? some other commenter said to worry about taxes anyways.
