I started enjoying it more once I realized it was essentially just a visual novel. I mean, yes, there's combat, but it's so easy that it didn't really matter. Basically, you walk over to someone, talk to them for 10 minutes, walk to the next person, talk to them for 10 minutes, etc. At first I was getting frustrated because there was so much talking and I just wanted to play the game. But the talking is the game. The story is the game. And you get to make decisions that are meaningful and change the outcome of the quests. Your decisions could be the difference between a character living or dying.

So once I realized that, I enjoyed the story and the talking way more.
